Molinism is Biblical!

Although the word Trinity is found nowhere in Scripture, the concept of the Trinity is biblical. The doctrine of the Trinity, while not explicitly taught in Scripture, is both consistent with the whole of Scripture and backed by the biblical data around God's nature. By following the same principles of interpretation that guide us to conclude that the doctrine of the Trinity is the best explanation of the biblical data, we can arrive at the conclusion that Molinism IS the best explanation of the data concerning God's sovereignty and human moral responsibility. Listen to Tim Stratton describe the core tenets of Molinism and how they are consistent with Scripture and backed up by the biblical data.

James White: Smirks
Tim Stratton: God determined you to do that though.
James: Romans 9 & Ephesians 1:4, 5, &11!!
Tim: By no means do I deny that. I can affirm that and all of scripture.
James: Still not reformed.
Tim: My degree says otherwise!!!
James: Grounding objection!!!!
Tim: That’s not a biblical but a philosophical objection. This video wasn’t addressing that but providing biblical support.
James: I know Greek.

Great video Tim, thank you for your work.

Hey Dr. Stratton! I have 1 question I think you’ll find interesting:
When the apostle Paul speaks of “the mystery of iniquity” in 2 Thess. 2:7,

Is this a biblical statement that evil is a mystery?

I’ve seen Dr. Keathley in Salvation & Sovereignty state that from the LFW position evil is a mystery. What do you think?

P.S. your hard work in study is so evident and has done so much for me, and I love your fight and stance for God’s holiness, sovereignty & providence, God bless you & your work!

I can't believe we are still dealing with Calvinist heresy all these years later 😂😂

Hey Tim, just listened to your discussion w/Chris. Here’s is my comment on that vide: “At the 2:35 mark, Chris, why did you use God's name as a cus word?! Given ur explanation earlier that on
EDD, it's "beautiful" to even have been determined towards having false beliefs - is it "beautiful" for you to blaspheme God's name?!” Obviously he completely cratered when you asked him to confront your deductive argument. On the second premise he went tu quoque, from “yes” it is true, to it is “hopelessly ambiguous.” The syllogism exposed throughout the entire dialogue it was Chris rather that was full of “bald assertions” and “question begging” assertions. I can def see you’re much more composed, and your free thinking argument has gotten a lot tighter. If Chris thought the 2nd premise was “hopelessly ambiguous” then the burden of proof is on him to demonstrate where and which terms are susceptible to equivocation. And you are def right - Chris frustratingly strawman your arguments. Seems he couldn’t help himself than regurgitating Calvinist talking points rather than give actual arguments.

BTW, I requested a pre-pub copy of your paper co-written w/J.P., and you ask to email you. It’s my last semester at Talbot so been a bit busy. So glad though the paper is published sooner than expected, and even better it is not behind a pay wall. Can’t wait to dive in.

Is this an edited version of your opening statement from that debate the other day?

Ok May be you can help me out to show me what I believe
Middle knowledge I believe this 100% I have for many years Only I did not have a word for it, Just its what was taught in scripture and common sense, Only recently I had seen some good explanation of Middle knowledge and I knew this well as I have always believed this

However I am not sure what kind of Free will I would believe in and or does this fit Molinism or something else
Here is what I believe, we have free will of sorts but at the same time we are slaves to sin and are blinded to varies levels by ourselves by loving out sin, loving the honor that comes from Men fear of Man, and other corruptions we are slaves too, Satan who deceives the whole world, and By God based on judgment on our rejection of the Truth refusing to receive the love of the truth and for suppressing the truth
I don't believe we have absolute freedoms as we are influenced by all these things, However I be belief the spirit was sent into the word to convict the world, and faith comes by hearing the word, and we are responsible to respond to the light we receive and like the parable of the coins, If we believe God and seek him he will be found by us and we will be givin more light but if we reject it even what we have can and will in time be taken away maybe by pieces at a time, depending On God

However I also believe that when one becomes a Christian they do have more freedom in thought then before when non Christian due to being free of satans kingdom I can def see this in my own life

On the other hand on just about everything else I agree with the Calvinist the lordship of Christ repenting not in friendship with the world and more

I do need a little help. If God created a world, knowing what you would do, do you really have a choice?

The concept of trinity is NOT biblical at all. According to the trinity doctrine Jesus is supposed to be ALWAYS in a CLOSE UNION with the Father and the Holy Spirit. But Jesus doesn't even KNOW what a triune God is supposed to be: He NEVER is with 1. the Father and 2. the Holy Spirit (see the gospels). Jesus reiterates dozens of times to be WITH THE FATHER ONLY, this means that NO THIRD DIVINE person exists!!!! Indeed the "SPIRIT OF GOD" (the Holy Spirit) is NOT a third divine person, He simply is "God who is a spirit" : "GOD IS A SPIRIT" Jn. 4:23, 24. He is thus ONCE AGAIN GOD: a second manifestation of the same almighty God. Thus, Jesus is not said to be "with the Father and the Holy Spirit" because REDUNDANT: the Father would actually be mentioned TWICE there. Thus, the gospels tells you that 1. that Spirit is NOT a further divine person (else that person would ALWAYS be mentioned with Jesus and the Father) and 2. WHO actually is that Spirit: "GOD is a spirit".
Jesus is ONLY with the Father, for ex. "Yet, I am not ALONE because I am with the Father", i.e. just Father and Son. The FATHER who is inside Jesus to help Him is the SAME HOLY SPIRIT who some time before led Him inside the desert, NO "SWITCHING OF ASSISTANCE" occurred!

Free Will need not be a dichotomy. I believe you affirmed this at the beginning. If that is the case then Free Will is only a one way path. The question then would be what constitutes whether a person finds themselves on the path of Free Will. I believe it would have to be whether the person is operating in the Truth. If this is all true, and if this theory affirms compatibilism, then it need not be that your theory is true because a dichotomy need not be necessary for there to be Free Will.
