Charlie, Yes, it is true the Hybrid Cross puts the non-Hybrid 2.Slow engine to shame but when will Toyota get Hybrid production up to a speed that actually matches demand?? Their recent habit of over-promising and under-delivering Hybrids is becoming irksome. In regard to practicality, Toyota needs to steal a few designers/engineers from Honda to teach them the basics of interior space efficiency. Compared to the HR-V, the Cross fails to deliver a child seat-friendly back row and the rear door openings are less than ideal. 🤨

i have a corolla cross with 2.0 engine. i use extreme driving style to get 5.0L/100km, which is 47MPG. i never go over 100km/h, seldom let the engine go over 2500rpm when accelerating and hyper mill when ever possible. so l smile when i see the gas pump, and its a different kind of fun to squeeze for MPG.

Thank you for mentioning the dealer markups. The $8K markup I've been seeing in the SF Bay Area makes destroys the value proposition of this car.

If you could get this car at sticker price it would be amazing, but all dealerships around me are asking 7k+ for the XLE trim, it's insane how much they are asking nowadays.

Seems like a great road trip vehicle for 4+ hour drive. Fuel efficient, light steering, and practical size. I'd consider one in a year or two used (hopefully when car prices go back to normal). As a second car, of course. I need a sporty daily driver.

Although it looks like a boring car, there are not a lot of options on the market under the hybrid subcompact SUV category. The other one is probably Kia Niro but Niro comes only with FWD. The problem is Toyota's notorious waitlist time and the unreasonable markups. 😮‍💨

4 tie-down hooks in the back. I saw 4! That’s becoming rare. Good job Toyota.

It's a neat car but seems kinda pointless when you could get a Prius if you want a compact car or a RAV4 hybrid if you want a bigger car

All comments are negative because driver guy talked negative lol. This is lowest option. Higher options will have better interior with much more functions. Even gauges arent digital in this one lol. If you don't afford to test a car with a higher option, better don't ever do it because it gives a negative impression to viewers.

30k is way too much for this, and that's before bs dealership fees and taxes. 25k on road would be a fair price for this.

5:49 Here in Ireland, from the moment it came out, we always had a hybrid only model because of that extra power, economy, lower emission etc

Finally not some bs bunker rear seat window design.

Weird to see the base S model doesn’t have a rear wiper. Toyota really cutting cost’s

I dislike everything about this car. It looks like a Honda CRV and everything in this is awkwardly small or just not the best size. Ugly and non functional in my eyes.
