I really this this idea and though it would've been touching to have them hug and comfort each other, I don't think that would happen any time soon. One's a saint and the others a loathsome sinner. So even when she feels his presence, she doesn't get to see what her baby boy has become. Is that a good thing or bad thing?

this is the most saddest thing about alastor. this is the only time he genuinely smiles. he knows he'll never see her even if he tries but his mom will love him despite of him being in hell and the terrible things he did when he was alive. still, this so touching.
