I fasted 16 days. That's probably my limit! Now I usually fast at 48- 72 hr limits. That initial fast tho helped me lose the first 25 lbs & now I feel absolutely amazing everytime I fast! More energy, clarity & so positive. Guess everyone is different!

I see no point in fasting longer than 5 days. You will lose weight virtually just as fast with rolling 48s as long as your refeed isn’t nuts.

They have done several studies thay more than 40 days put an immense amount of stress on the body. Especially for women. Truly affects our hormones after that point.

I would go get your hormones checked. Hang in there sis.

I'm on day 16 of my 30 day just to restart my body. Only really have 50 total to lose. Have lost 22 so far.

I am taking electrolytes with a crushed multivitamin. Making sure I pay attention to my bodies signals. I'm only doing 30 days then IF and keto a while.

I fasted for 6 days once and it was one of the best experiences of my life spiritually, mentally, and physically. Then I felt like eating so I did. It feels like fasting is good. Do you think it was because you pushed too far beyond a certain point? What I mean is when I first started fasting there was a terribly period for like 4 days, then the 5th and 6th day were euphoric, amazing, spiritual, enlightening, and I was still in that phase when I broke it. But some people say that it goes in waves: like a terrible period to start, then a euphoric period, then a terrible period again, then perhaps another great period? IDK I haven't been that far. But I wonder if there's like a sweet spot not to push past? What do you think?

What you accomplished with the prolonged fast is amazing. Most people couldn't do that. Sounds like losing weight over time will help your mind and body adjust.

So, I imagine you are finally going to take down the video championing your 54 day fast that appears on your FB home seems like it completely conflicts with what you are saying here and could lead others down the same panful, dangerous path.

The problem isn't your reduced appetites, as that is how we are designed. The issue is a general perception that 3 meals a day is healthy.
Our ancestors didn't have the luxury of easily available foods, so by design, our bodies are designed to go without food hence the immense health benefits of fasting, especially healing and cell regenerations after 3-5 days.

Very brave you girl. Much respect for that. Fuck those hateful comments. It's your journey, your experience. Yes, the reasons we overeat and overcast, buldose ourselves in one way or another are beyond the phisical. It's our inner wounds, traumas, that's been unresolved. Unmet needs, that's kept unmet... But noone gave us manual before we came into this world. We figuring shit out by making mistakes learning from them, assigning meaning, digging deeper and deeper. Thank you for sharing it!!! Hey Mariah I have an honest question! I remember you kept making videos about the 500 pound fasting lady aka Maya. Even when she was doing good you make vids on her! Theres a new snake dieter losing tons of weight on youtube name snakediet fat man being coached by Cole. Wondering why you never made on vid on him! Did you have something personal against Maya? Just curious 🧐

You did wonderful, don’t give up. You probably need to take a multivitamin daily when you fast so that you don’t experience malnutrition. Live and learn. Do intermittent fasting and eat quality food. I do understand you because I have done 33 days of water fasting. Best of luck!

I think the problem is fasting and going back into solid foods. You might need to add supplements and change what you eat every time you fast. Try cutting out certain foods and minimize your triggers. Because it’s something else that’s going on and your body is telling you.

My longest water fast was 18 days. I dry fast at the moment - 3 days is my longest dry fast. I don’t think I’ll ever do more than that.

I’m not trying to bring down anyone but, it would seem lots of people who would do extreme dieting and make a channel seek the attention and are somewhat sensitive mentally. The mind body connection is incredibly powerful so I in no way doubt her symptoms but they are probably exasperated by her mental health.

I follow Cole Robinson and believe he should take down his old videos too (like she should take down her old fasting videos or put up a banner and warning and message before and after that says not to follow her example). He’s gone from saying fast as hard as you can as long as you can to saying rolling 48’s or 72’s are good enough.

There was one lady who lost a crap ton of weight (100+ lbs) snake dieting and had a Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and, YouTube tracking her progress… the day after she stopped she talks about contacting Cole about a kidney shot (apple cider vinegar and baking soda) and refeeding…. She was never heard from again. This is several years later. Nothing. Keep your fasts reasonable people. Rolling 48’s or 7 days max should be enough. Stay healthy mentally by walking and being realistic. Buy my weight loss program for $39.99… I’m kidding! But just about buying my program. Be reasonable people and get out in nature and exercise.

Hi Maria,
It was a great, massive and impossible challeng you took to fast for 54 days long, but actually I see that your picture before was better than after, you look more beautiful in the before picture much more than the after one even though the difference is big according weight loss. Also I see you now better. Thank you for sharing your story because I got to learn that it's not necessary all the time to be slim to look beautiful or smart. Once again I see you more beautiful and bright now. You don't need to be worry about your weight because you are good not bad.
