24:00 It does say one day after radiation therapy. While radiation does kill cells, it can also mutate them into cancer cells that begin to rapidly divide at a much faster rate than normal. From what it looks like, they didn't apply *enough* radiation to actually kill it, so Alcatraz became cancerous instead.

On the 3rd video, the section called "Alcatrazosis ( 20:40)" shows (in a distorted way) what happens during the process of Mitosis that cells undergo to reproduce. In the main prison, the circular thing is the nucleus, with the genetic material inside. You can also see centrioles and mitochondria, indicating that Alcatraz could be a giant cell

I used to see cornerfolk when I was a very young child. They were like shadows and they terrified me. There were no trees outside of our house, nothing that could make shadows the way I was seeing them.

I have a theory. When the 10 kids switched realities, we then proceeded to follow the other reality the original children had been switched to, as the tree was not at the Center, but inside the Washington Monument. Because of the change between the realities, the Cornerfolk then begin to warp that reality in hopes of bringing everything back to normal.
