I'll be honest, I want to become a police officer and thinking about finding myself in this type of situation is scary. A captain like that can destroy your career/life unfortunately, and the public would never know about it. However, knowing that there's people like this sergeant standing his ground when needed, upholding the law and keeping people safe makes me smile. Hope one day I'll be worthy of my badge just like this sergeant is. If you want change, you have to start with yourself

I'm glad this officer had enough confidence in the law not to fall to peer pressure. I'm not an expert of police ranks, but if a captain is higher than a sergeant then he deserves praise for his bravery as well.

This is a step in the right direction. This captain was overly confortable asking him to show him favoritism so how many times has this gone unchecked before we found ONE good cop? Im headed off to google to see if this situation is even legit and not a PR video for their pd.

Literally have never heard of a cop doing their proper duty. This guy will be ousted from the force quick smart for actually having integrity and refusing to cover for and advance the corruption that pervades that entire malevolent institution. I hope he and his family are safe...
