As a matter of fact this is a goal this year. I used to squat all the time with no effort, even when I was 250 pounds. After gut surgery I couldn't. Thanks for helping me. I put a little stool behind me so if I do take it too far I won't land on the floor.

Yeah, I can go all the way down with my heels up. Working on flat footed squats for more stability and endurance.

So, I broke my ankle and the healing process involved not moving it for months. In that time, my Achilles got *super* tight. Any advice getting it stretchy again so there's even a small glimmer of hope getting into a full squat?

Ive had a total knee replacement 7 months ago. My flexion after 5 months was 130. I can't seem to get any farther. Should I keep trying?

There’s a squat machine at the gym. I made pretty good progress with that although it is torture. I’m just getting over a bout of bronchitis so don’t have the ability to do that yet. I have a neighbor in her 80’s who squats for very long periods of time while gardening. I think once you get it, if you use it, it stays.
