What to do with old oil after deep frying

In Malaysia, you can resell back your old cooking oil at your local selected Petronas Gas Station for a few bucks 😄

If you charcoal BBQ, keep a small amount to soak papertowel in, use this as a firestarter

I usually fry in small batches in a smaller amount of oil. After frying, I pass it through a sieve and store in a jar. I use this oil to fry eggs, cook dishes or make tadka. This way, I only use the oil twice and don't need to dispose it off.

Pour cold oil over an egg carton and use it as a fire starter for your bbq/braai/barbie

Come to Belgium. Drop off your oil in the designated bin at literally any supermarket, from where it will be recycled. Bonus: get you some proper Belgian fries while you're here, and pick up chocolates for Babe.

Japanese has a method. You can check it out. Also, we can pour corn starch water into the oil and cook it for a while. The corn starch and attach dark particles. Then, remove the starch. The oil is cleaned up.

I'd NEVER deign to pour my oil down the sink. I usually combine mine with seasonings and freeze it, then I reuse it. ❤

in Turkey we have recycling centers for oil, they provide some glass jars to fill and clean, you drop the jars, get some new ones.

I use the old oil to fill up my old isuzu SUV and farm equipment. Just mix it with 50/50 diesel

I mix old oil with stale bread or oatmeal with bird seed and put in a dish. Instead of putting into anyone's rubbish/waste, the birds will eat. [If you feed birds it saves buying products in the shops so a money saving exercise). 😊

I like to put some foil in a deep pan, pour the hot oil carefully into the tin foil lined pan, then add the solidifying chemicals. Then you can just toss out the foil with no scooping needed

Back when I lived in the Netherlands the supermarket I went to had a frying oil disposal container. You just had to put it in some kind of safe container (usually a plastic bottle) and just throw it in. Super convenient
