Should The U.S. Invade...Itself?

We’re obviously joking. Coups are bad and plus it would be a logistical nightmare. But if the U.S. were ANY other country, we might be in back rooms discussing regime change. After all, America has historically believed itself to be an arbiter of democracy, deciding which governments are failed, and whether to help topple them.

Now with a COVID-positive reality star and his family running the government, an out-of-control pandemic, mass inequality and violence against people of color and immigrants, let’s just say if America were in the Global South, this former colony would have been coup’d by now.

The USA only opposes a dictatorship if it opposes capitalism or supports anything that does not line up with capitalist interests. The only "democracy" the USA wants to spread is the "freedom" to choose capitalism, or be declared a "failed state in need of intervention, " and militarily invaded and militantly forced into adopting capitalism or to suffer the consequences if they still do not choose it.

Trump reminds me of an Indonesian presidential candidate in 2014 & 2019: Prabowo. He learned much from Trump, especially with the acting tough manner and his refusal to concede after losing the election twice against the same man (current president Jokowi). He relied on the support of radical Muslims and his loyalists, contesting the poll result with his own (with his final counting of the poll ever-changing as the days went by), and escalate the matter to be judged by Constitutional Tribune.

After months of media circus, he finally accepted the result, while still flaming the issue that the elections were fraudulent. This resulted in his supporters and the islamic radicals still believe that the current president didn't win fair ad square.

So if Trump lose in this 2020 election, these things will happen. I'm sure of it

Sweden here! We've pretty much only been occupied by Denmark throughout history. We called the Danish king Christian the Tyrant, but this was hundreds of years ago. Being occupied by Denmark today is probably much more pleasant, especially compared to the current US status quo.
