How to Remove Write Protection from a USB Drive

External drives help you manage your files, either removing unneeded documents from your main drive or backing up extra-important files. Unfortunately, if you’ve come across a USB drive with write protection enabled, it can make it difficult to access and modify files on the device. If you need to remove write protection, for one reason or another, here’s what you can do!

You have to type "exit" before you exit out the Command Prompt or else it doesn't work (at least speaking from my experience).

Um, did you forget to say to hold down the shift key while inserting that or a CD or DVD, unless you're certain of its safety?

yeah this isnt workin. mine just randomly one day decided it was write protected. This one is getting beat with a hammer since it wants to be difficult
