Tip #1: If your red ignitor button doesn't light it, just use a regular lighter, just flick the lighter on and hold it up to the top of the metal cylinder, where the punched holes are, all those little holes should ignite gently into a small flame, not big enough to burn you, don't worry.

Tip #2: You have to hold the gas control valve In the "pilot" position for a good while before it will allow you turn it all the way to "on". Like maybe a full minute of pressing it in and holding it. Just keep trying every 20 seconds or so to turn it to the left (counter clockwise) to the "on" position (written in red on the knob) and after a minute or so it will let you turn it all the way. If it doesn't let you turn it past "pilot" just wait a little longer, keep holding it pressed in, and keep trying to turn it every 20 seconds or so. It WILL let you after a while, it's normal that it doesn't let you at first.
