I'll never forget the scene in breaking bad where Skyler comes home with a PT cruiser talking about how great it is. 😂

The pt cruiser wins this award for the 15th year in a row, lol

Kentucky ballistics buys them specifically to use as firearm targets 💀

Their marketing department certainly worked much harder than their engineering department

I’ve been blessed to see a Scotty Kilmer short before it blows up

The best part about driving a PT Cruiser, is getting out of it.

I had one for 9 years. Now my niece owns it. 18 years and going...

They sold almost 1.5M of these things from 2000-2010, yet you hardly ever see one on the road.
Pro Tip: *This is what they call a clue in the industry.*

Owning a PT Cruiser is like being prone to migraine headaches: you never know when the unbearable pain is going to appear. Last year I traded a 2007 PT Cruiser for a 2016 Mazda CX-9. It was like going from hell to paradise. I luckily did not experience any of the ubiquitous engine or transmission failures, but lots of other problems nearly bankrupted me. For instance, it took eight mechanics over three states to finally fix the overheating and A/C system problems. (Yes, an A/C problem can cause catastrophic engine overheating!) Trade in value with under 70, 000 miles was only a few hundred dollars.

My Grandma bought one and still drives it to this day without any problems.

It all depends on how you drive it, I guess...

Your right about the beasts over-heating. Mine does it right out of the blue even after checking the radiator fluid every week. It's now my knock around car I don't dare take out of town, .

My father has a pt cruiser and loves it bought it used with 100k now has over 240k miles on it now, it is a five speed he has not put anything major into it just regular maintenance, you just has to find a good one where the owners cared about the car

PT Cruiser means part time cruising around the neighborhood only. Not to be used for actual long distance driving. That should have been listed in fine print on the car manual.

The guy opposite me used to have one. He used to call the AA about 7 times a year until he scrapped it.

I know two people with these. They haven't had any troubles...

Of course, the 'young' one is in his later 70's, and both rarely drive. Don't think either one has 60K on it yet...since they haven't had to replace head gaskets....yet

As I get older I realize the main problem with cars is the people who drive them. You get people who drive with one foot on the brake. They demand the performance of a 6-cylinder from a 4-cylinder. They don’t touch the brakes until they are 50 feet from the bar. They overstrain the suspension and the shocks. They wait too long to change the oil.

When I worked at a chrysler dealership I loved the pt cruiser. Every single one needed thousands of dollars worth of work and the owners always bought everything because they love that car so much. Pure money maker for mechanics.

I see advertisements for PT Cruisers all the time.
It's mind boggling how many there still are.
I often see them for sale for under 500 bucks.
