Really wish we got to see more of the OG 2002 Green Goblin costume.

This deleted scene has me in stitches because Spiderman made him look weak then you look back and It took tobey a while to defeat green goblin Yet tom made it look easy.

In this scene we can see how the mask breaks a little and that's why in the next scene Norman can take it off to later broke his connection for a little bit

Spider-Man just owned those two. It’s crazy how quickly battles can go when you get one hit in.

Get why this scene was cut but I would’ve liked a fight scene in the mask before it’s destroyed

I was sad we didn’t get to see much of the green goblins mask but happy this scene wasn’t in the film

I'm good with this scene being cut. When it comes to Spider-Man villains, the Green Goblin should always be the one who strikes the most fear in Peter, and is his strongest adversary (even though characters like Doc Ock and Venom may be theoretically stronger, they're never as pure evil/willing to cross any line just to ruin Peter's life. For them it's usually personal- the Goblin will go after the people he loves and kill them on the spot if he feels like it).
Having Peter "defeat" Goblin here just would have led to more MCU haters ("no way Tom could beat the Goblin that easily!"), and also lessens the mystery/impact Osborn brings to the film, and whether he can actually be trusted or not.

I'm honestly glad they deleted this this makes the goblin look super weak like he gets in a fight with the youngest spoderman and loses in less than ten seconds this feels corny like a kids show from the nineties like oh you foiled my plans curses we'll meet again spiderman! That little ah the goblin did was more than enough for me.

I kinda like this scene as we see more of the battle going on but id rather have green Goblin land on his feet when being thrown through the build board and I'd have a longer fight where doc ock is chasing goblin and goblin is chasing spiderman their all chasing eachother

It would've been cool seeing an extended fight between TH Spider Man and Green Goblin on the bridge here. But this is far too short and really downplays on the menace Goblin is to Spider Man. Here's how I would have done it.

Upon spotting his hated foe, Goblin charged forward on his glider; the gun slots on the glider's wings opening and priming to fire. Sensing the incoming danger, Peter quickly webbed the bound Octavius to the side of the bridge.

"Stay right there, Mr. Snake... Arms... Tentacle guy! I'll be right back!" he shouted as he took a running start.

"Really?!" Octavius exclaimed in pure disbelief. He was already bound and helpless; the fact it was by his own arms only added to the humiliation. The webbing at this point was completely unnecessary.

Having no areas to web sling from, Peter was forced to alternate between running and leaping from car to car; bullets centimeters from his heels as he bounced and flipped in zigzag formations in a desperate bid to stay a step ahead of the Goblin's guns. A missile fired from a compartment beneath the glider; striking the car that Peter had just landed on and launching both into the air.

Fortunately, Peter had planned this and used the explosion to give himself momentum and get him closer to the non damaged traffic signs; where he'd be able to use his webs to maneuver and stay ahead of the Goblin. Catching onto Peter's plan, the Goblin increased the thruster to his glider as blades extended from the glider's belly. He knew the advantage was still his; if he could just slow Spider Man down for half a second, the wall crawler would be his. A pumpkin bomb launched from a compartment from his glider into his hand. Pressing the green button to prime the pumpkin bomb, the Goblin tossed it at Spider Man's back.

Catching the primed grenade in his webbing, Peter spun and tossed it as hard as he could towards the incoming traffic sign. The bomb detonated; completely shredding the sign and covering the area in smoke. Appearing to be fleeing through the smoke, Peter instead used his momentum to swing his body upwards in a clockwise motion in an attempt to surprise his attacker with an incoming kick.

But the Goblin was no fool. Having anticipated such a move, Goblin leaned back on his glider until the bottom was completely exposed to Peter's feet. Flipping the glider right side back up (with Goblin on the top half and Peter sticking to the bottom) Goblin cut the power to the glider's engine and propellors, causing it to bodily slam Peter into the concrete of the bridge. Starting the glider back up, Goblin hovered up into the air and looked down upon the stunned body of his greatest enemy. Grinning with maniacal glee, he removed a rod from a compartment in his glider; a rod that extended and opened into a wicked looking trident. With a triumphant roar, Goblin hurled the trident towards his recovering foe with all his might.

By the time Peter saw the trident coming, the tips were inches away from piercing his exposed chest. Right as he was about to be impaled by the bladed projectile, a ring of fiery sparks swept through his body, causing him to vanish. The trident continued on its journey, impaling itself half through the concrete.

Goblin looked upon the crater in disbelief and barely contained fury. His foe was right there; where did he go? Yanking the trident out with a mighty heave of his arm, Goblin turned his attention towards the familiar looking man who was with Spider Man earlier; perhaps he would have answers. But as it turned out, he, too, was gone. Snarling with fury, Goblin then turned his gaze out towards New York; the city reflecting in his golden lenses. Something was off. He knew this was New York, but something was different. Come to think of it, Spider Man himself seemed different. What the devil was going on?

A stirring within him reminded Goblin that Osborn would be emerging soon. No doubt the spineless fool would be as confused as he was to their situation. Much as it displeased Goblin in having to retract back into Osborn, he told himself to be patient and bide his time. Answers would come to him; and with them, hopefully with a little luck, a Spider Man willing to let his guard down long enough for his blade to find his heart.

A versão do filme é muito melhor. Cria uma expectativa

Making a goof out of him severely undermines how intimidating he ended up being later. Good cut.

Fun fact: Reason they did cut it because the movie would end here.
