As a kid, i was genuinely surprised when i found out spiderman didnt have organic webs, that sounds just wrong to me.

I like the organic ones because of all the abilities he should get, why not the ability to shoot webs
I like the man-made ones because they show off Peter having an above average IQ

Stan Lee said that Spider-man is more interesting with mechanical web-shooters cause sometimes he would be in a situation with no web-cartridges left, so he had to think of another way to win the day. It gives the story dynamics instead of him always relying on his webs. I'm a fan of both personally.

It's great they went for the organic web. Otherwise, Tobey, Andrew and Tom wouldn't have been able to talk about it. The look of surprise on Andrew and Tom's faces are amazing upon seeing it the first time!

Makes way more sense for it to be organic. He can wall crawl organically. Has spider-sense and super strength/speed/durability.

In the final cut of the film you can still see all the circuitry and schematics on his desk from when he was designing the web shooters that they forgot to remove. Pretty neat detail I didn't notice for so long.

I think organic webbing is good for the basis of Spider-Man being able to produce webs in the first place, but mechanical web shooters are good to enhance the organic webbing

So he was originally going to have built his web shooters like in the comics and TASM? Wonder why they decided to change that...

I always thought the reason Peter didn't have organic webs in the comics, TASM and MCU was because his human body couldn't produce webbing, like his body psychically could not create webing, it didn't have what it needed to produce the substance but it had enough material in the human body to give Peter the rest of the Spider's ability. We can also say that maybe in Tobeys spider bite was more advanced and it created holes in his wrist to shoot the webs.

This is my personal headcanon so don't take this as fact

i grew up with these movies and i got used to spider-man having organic webbing, but nowdays i like the original idea of him havin mechanic web-shooters better, it makes spider-man tales feel more complex and detailed for me

Organic webs do make the spider bite more meaningful but undersells Peter's true power, his intellect.

I actually really like the organic webshooters now, I saw a tv short called Spider-man Tech and it explains how organic webshooters are actually genetically possible whilst webshooters would never work in reality. Spider-man as a hero is actually scientifically possible in theory, particularly as he was presented in the original films; every ability save for the webballs. Even the physics in the films are incredibly accurate! I found that super interesting. Web shooters are great but since this was a real life adaptation, I give their decision to ditch the artificial webs my approval as a spidey fan :)

I'm so glad web shooters doesn't exist in this version. Peter is broke, is ridiculous he can make those things and still be poor. Sam Raimi is simply a genius. Web shooters don't define the arachnid!
