Guy in the video is just showing off so here is an actual tip, dont parry the weapon, parry the hand, as soon as the enemy's hands starts accelerating to strike press parry, huge tip is to practice on crucible knight boss fight, he is the best boss for learning how to parry, you will be 10x better at parrying after fighting him (do note that his tail attacks during the second form arent parriable, everything else is free game tho)

In all seriousness, it is much easier to parry in this game than people make it out to be. Something about the rhythm between enemy attacks that lines you up to parry.

Exactly like the way you parried out of hit-stun, had just enough time to chug a heal off, and immediately got another parry. Doesn't always work of course, but enemy combos are consistent enough that it's more than a legitimate strat.

And obviously the more you do it the easier it gets to read enemy attacks.

Another tip
You can hold your shield to let your enemy attack you. Then when you see the enemy will heavy attack, parry it. That's all

If anyone wants more parry frames and a faster parry you should use the buckler shield you get from gostoc after beating demigod godrick or ad the bandit starting class

Parrying is hard bc of the timing. I'm gonna try getting the Golden Parry ash of war and see how that works, it's supposedly easier to parry with that on shields
