S3E4 Game of Thrones: Cersei and Tywin discuss the Tyrells

Scene from S3E4 - And Now His Watch is Ended.
Cersei speaks to Tywin about Jaime and making sure Tywin is doing all he can to get him back, she also warns him about the Tyrells and suspects they might be up to something.

I love how cersei tries to mimic tywins letter writing when she has the conversation with olenna.
And olenna recognizes this and calls it out immediatly

Cersei in this scene isn't warning Tywin that she thinks the Tyrells are up to something. She is simply complaining about the fact that Jeoffry listens to Maegery and not to her.

I think most people agree with Olenna on Tywin.
Most of us don't particularly LIKE him, but everyone respects him.

I like how throughout the series you can see Tywin’s work ethic.

90% of Cersei’s scenes are just her sitting down, drinking wine, being vindictive towards people. Tywin’s always stamping letters, multi-tasking, taking counsel etc. Yet we can see he also sets aside down time for himself like fishing or hunting/dressing a stag.

The Joffrey problem has gotten so bad that when Cersei tells Tywin that Margery Tyrell can control and manipulate Joffrey, Tywin's reaction is to say that it was a positive development.

After spending much of season 2 with Arya, I can imagine Tywin being even more disappointed in having Cersei as a daughter

The biggest difference between Tywin and Cersi is that Tywin is actually as good as he thinks he is when it comes to conquering his enemies.

I love how quickly Cersei loses confidence as soon he tells her to "contribute". The more she talks, the more Tywin proves how little she has to actually say and the longer she has his attention the more she wastes his time by failing to bring up anything of value. I can't think of many men, in fiction or real life, that can just demolish a person's confidence in under a minute.

As much as Cersei tries to be like Tywin, she never will. Tywin goes to war with his enemies for logical reason. Cersei goes to war with her enemies for personal reasons.

God damn I can see why Tywin is aggravated. Her entire conversation was pointless.

What are you doing about Jaime? You already know.
The Tyrells are a problem. No they aren't you're just jealous.
I should be your favorite. Why? every decision you've made in the last several months has been idiotic.

Tywin to Arya in season 2: "You're too smart for your own good, has anyone told you that?"

The only bad thing about Tywin's death is there is no one left to keep Cersei's stupidity and insanity in check.
