There is a major fatal flaw in how most define stamina.

Stamina is about SUSTAINING YOUR PERFORMANCE LEVEL for the duration of the exercise whether it's 100m or 10000m. E.g if you start to slow down in a race this is due to a drop in stamina i.e. you're unable to sustain the level til that point. However you can in a long race regain that level once your body has had a chance to recuperate a bit. So stamina can come and go up and down in a long race. Endurance just means you'll keep going to the end i.e finish the race, regardless of placement. Without stamina you probably aren't gonna win the race but without endurance you won't even finish the race so u won't even need to worry about stamina. 😎 So in a nutshell you need endurance no matter what. But to be a champion as opposed to a journeyman you're gonna need to have good Stamina too (compared to your competitors). Stamina seperates champions from participants.

Endurance is the ability to start and finish a run, regardless of the speed or carrying a certain load.
Stamina is the ability to run that race fast and or caring a certainweighted load.

One could also say "endurance while maintaining good form". So, this is a bit misguided. Note that one could make the same argument for other performance metrics. For example strength. It's more difficult, but more beneficial and safer, to curl 20 lbs with good form than 30 lbs with poor form. So the key lesson here is to maintain good form, and this can be applied to pretty much all performance metrics such as strength, power, speed, balance, flexibility, reactivity, etc.. including stamina/endurance, which are indeed the same thing. The point here is simple: Maintain good form, no matter what you're training. No need to overcomplicate things :)

This adds a nice perspective to the confusion 👌🙌✊

"Stamina is NOT doing something for a long period of time, stamina is doing something with excellent form for a long period of time"
...So strength is NOT lifting heavy weight, strength is lifting heavy weight in excellent form???
Form has NOTHING to do with stamina, form has something to do with....FORM. For real it's the other way round, doing something with an inefficient form is a lot harder and trains your stamina a lot better, fe try to swim the crawl with bad form or with perfect form, with bad form its a lot harder for your stamina.
