While Chrome OS seems like a great idea for the average person, it leaves a lot to be desired for people who actually use their computers for non internet things, like digital art, video editing, ect ect.

I like the idea, but that style of OS negates any sort of word processing, gaming or other stuff that computers are used for these days. It would be perfect to use on a mini laptop used solely for internet browsing, if you had a secondary computer to store your files and do other work on with a traditional OS. Basically, it sounds to me that the Google Chrome OS turns your computer/laptop/whatever into one giant iPad.

What could possibly go wrong with trusting our documents, images, videos, music, event schedules, telephone, TV, scholarly works, and shopping, to name a few things, to one company? Its not like they would do anything unkind with it, or a group of hackers could ever get to it.... what could possibly go wrong?
