Numerous studies have shown the neuroprotective effect of methylene blue (MB). It seems that MB can be used for brain fog, confusion, memory issues, and mitochondrial dysfunction in neurons. In this talk we will look at the practical aspect of methylene blue administration.

I take .5 to 1mg per kg daily. I also take NOW brand Cilantro/Chlorella tincture, which crosses the bbb to pull out heavy metals. Even though I take the fish grade at 1.15mg/drop, a recent blood test flagged me for being LOW in Arsenic! I am not worried, as I am also a willing tester who takes the risks. When you have a neuro-muscular disease related to polio (ME) you will be willing to sacrifice quite a lot of safety simply to have a life. MB works lke no other supplement I have tested, and I have tested over 100 items over the past decade. I also found that a pastured ruminant-based diet is by far optimal for me, nothing beats especially liver for nutrient density and availability, it is astounding help. I also now get big midday sun year round for the IFR. I have and use several lights, but nothing compares to the actual sun, especially midday sun sufficient to retain a tan works for me so well. I actually built a solarium to lay in through winter.

I hope this becomes mainstream soon. My neighbor and best friend killed himself 19 mo ago, paranoid schizophrenic. I feel he would have happily tried this just to see if his PTSD and other nightmare effects from the VietNam war would have been lessened. We have so much at hand to help us, but doktors can't tell us what might help.

I am a dentist. I use Low Intensity Laser with methylene, aka PDT for treatments im my practice. This video shows a serious and professional aproach about the theme(linking the researches).
Thank you very much for the information!

Dr. Been,
What I find so interesting about this 'blue dye' is how helpful it is to overall cellular function and especially the neuroprotective effect you clearly explain in your video. Shortly after watching these wonderful video's of yours I ran into a coincidence that is hard to ignore. I'll just say I don't believe in coincidences either. Nature just publish this interesting article about a green dye developed by Kodak in the 1950's:
The CRISPR–Cas9 gene-editing tool might have cracked the mystery of how death cap mushrooms (Amanita phalloides) kill — and it led researchers to a potential antidote. Using the gene-editing technology, researchers created a pool of human cells — each with different genetic mutations — and exposed them to the mushrooms’ toxin. The toxin could not enter cells that lacked a functional version of an enzyme called STT3B, and cell survival increased. The researchers then sifted through thousands of chemical compounds to find one that would block the action of STT3B. They uncovered indocyanine green, a dye developed by the photography company Kodak in the 1950s and used in medical imaging. Indocyanine green has not yet been tested as an antidote in humans, but it reduced deaths when given to mice.
Is all this positive information on 'color' the reason my mother always told us to eat the colors of the rainbow??

FYI even regular pharmacuitical products also have impurities.

PLEASE do a presentation using measurements pictorials. A spoon, cup, measuring cups side by side in order. I can't follow.

MB also very effective against stationary form Bartonella & biofilm. Most Drs who use this treatment recommended the liposomal capsules from compounding pharmacy but I can’t find a CP that makes it unfortunately.

Now Bartonella rearing it’s ugly head so I saw my dr today and I’m back on MB as well as 3 antibiotics starting tomorrow.

Rifampin/methylene blue is a recommended combo for persistent Bartonella. I’ll also be taking azith & clarith.

I use the USP grade 1% liquid from compass labs. Currently at 10 drops and increasing.

Dr Burrescano says it’s important to take antioxidants while taking larger doses MB as it causes severe oxidative stress.

The talk was on Project Lyme channel “examining Bartonella”.

I read research last year showing MB great for neurological conditions/diseases, Bartonella, babesia, and more…

Tick diseases really suck.

I would suggest that if you’re going to do MB, take supplements known to facilitate heavy metal detox. There’s “Modiflan”, made from a kind of brown seaweed. They used to advertise it as detoxing from heavy metals; they withdrew that claim but the product is still available. (You know how picky the FDA can be about any kind of claims.) That’s just a beginning suggestion for persona research.

Discussion:
One of the things most helpful about Dr. Been’s presentations is that he provides a more comprehensive inventory of necessary information than perhaps any other online lecturer. It was helpful to learn of the potential contaminants, arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum impurities. We should not automatically overlook the fact that there is really no safe dose of lead, to begin with, nor, in the opinion of many, mercury (note the thimersol controversy). And aluminum, arsenic and cadmium are not exactly friendly. Many people work very hard to detox from all of these heavy metals, so the question of safety issues over ingesting even “negligible” amounts deserves discussion. What amounts are we really talking about? Are they significant below background levels we ingest anyway from the environment? In that case, for instance, an argument for safety might be made that taking MB chronically will not raise a person’s heavy metal load meaningfully above what they’re already carrying. Or the the amounts in MB might be above background, etc., etc. An example of another side of the issue whether simultaneously facilitating the *excretion* of heavy metals might be sufficient to overcome expose from MB impurities. I had a colleague whose family criticized her for eating too much tuna (sushi). Her dietary regimen was otherwise very healthful; e.g., lots of seaweed, tons of vegetables, pure organic food, etc. The whole family got tested for mercury levels. Hers was very low, despite the tuna, while the other family members had a more typically high level. So, a healthy body can deal with a certain amount of exposure to heavy metals. The question then would be, what kind of supplemental heavy metal detox regimen might go hand on hand with taking MB?

More discussion is needed, not glossing over it as the cited study seems to do with “of no great concern”. “Of no great concern” is not exactly what one would characterize as *due diligence*. This is not a trivial issue.

Thought I would try it with all these positive videos and reviews..one drop and bad abdominal pain and bathroom visits

Great lecture. In my observations there needs to be more studies done on low dose MB. Anecdotally I’ve seen so many people benefit from starting low (ie 1 drop/0.5mg per day) and slowly increasing. I find the traditionally recommended amounts too much for many people.

I have just started MB. I have PTSD not on any other medication. I’ve started with 3 drops in 1/2 cup of water. I’m urinating a slight blue/green colour. I can feel it in my frontal lobe. I’m very sensitive to all medications. I’ve been battling exhaustion, memory problems and flashbacks. Hoping I can get some results. 🤞🏼

Good luck finding an excellent Certifcate of Analysis for MB. I have looked at Infuse-Serve and what used to be Hopkinton. A couple yeas ago the CoA were NOT impressive. Getting heavy metals out of one's brain is a big challenge.

I am researching this now and any comments appreciated. I am 59 female and only known problems is my recent bloodwork shows my RBC steadily climbing and now flagged high and my hemotocrit and hemoglobin has been flagged high for 8 years. Dr is wanting me to go for a sleep study next week something about oxygen🤷‍♀️. Also I have to get a thyroid ultrasound annually, it is enlarged and nodules that needs monitored and I have 2 doctors fighting over whether to take it out •. I prefer to keep my organs and no prescription meds.
