Every morning I wake up, on my own, no later than 5:00. It’s my very very favorite time of day, and I actually fall asleep looking forward to getting up. I go downstairs, make a French press of coffee and two pieces of wheat toast, one with natural peanut butter and one with raspberry jam. I sit in my favorite chair and eat my toast and drink my coffee and do *whatever I want*! For like an hour. This is the part that makes me so happy—I watch YouTube videos, or read a book, or catch up on the news, or social media ... whatever I want. I never ever do anything I don’t want to do until I’ve had this lovely unstressful quiet time in the morning.

Starting my day with some prayer and scripture always makes it better. My attitude gets wrecked if I’ve gone a few days with no Bible reading.

i’d wake up in the morning, kiss my boyfriend, meditate, write my morning pages, have some tea and a lovely breakfast while i read and relax 😌

If telling yourself in the morning that your day is going to be stressful can make it so, , telling yourself your day is going to be peaceful and productive might have the same effect. That's what I intend to start doing.

I was so stressed out about being at a new job and I haven’t been able to adjust both in my life and work life. One day i was ABOUT to think negatively towards the day but I told myself that morning that today was going to be a good day and the time will go by fast; because I was sick and wanted to be home. Instead of thinking “I want to be home” “I wanna be in bed” “I wanna go home” I kicked those thoughts out with the same positive one all day. And that day went by so much faster than any other day!

The first thing I do in the morning is to write 3 things I'm grateful for ... I have been doing this for years and it helped me over and over again 🌼💗

I literally made a video last year about how important MINDSET is for waking up early in the morning and starting the day right!!!! I highlighted that you shouldn't put the alarm on the other side of the room / have a stressful alarm wake you up, because it wakes you up in such a negative way!

If I had no stress, I would probably finally do everything I want and be more peaceful and not yell at my kids or not be so frustrated with myself. Thank you Amy for this video. I really needed to hear that is better to “stress” at night. 😊🙏

I love that you cited research! Without stress I enjoy waking up at my early morning time without an alarm 🚨 and simply enjoying my morning water, the morning sounds and environment in my backyard, my Ketones or coffee and being around my dogs or husband for breakfast 🥞

This is so useful right now. Classes have just finished for uni and we are getting into exam time which is making me super stressed. But I’ve definitely noticed I’m so much less productive when I’m stressed (even with less to do in my day). I think I’m going to try going to the gym first thing. When I work out with my music on it’s like the rest of the world falls away and I stop thinking about everything I have to do or be stressed about. Could be a good way to get me in the right mindset first thing to set me up for the day 🤞 Thankful as always for the amazing tips and video Amy!

I've been meaning to thank you for the podcast with Michelle Tillis Lederman a couple weeks ago because the abundant mindset vs the scarcity mindset was brought up and I found it so helpful. I was aware of the concept in my gut I suppose, but didn't have the words :) This makes such a difference, thank you again!
