There are a ton of challenges you'll face working from home. How will you remain productive? How will you make sure you don't overwork yourself? How will you communicate with those around you, like kids, your partner or roommates?

I love "communicate with others" . Your live streams this week have meant so much to me! It helps a lot to know there are so many of us doing this together. It really lifts my spirits in this crazy time!

personal experience: it is better to schedule workout or fitness goals towards evening or night because when i used to workout first thing in the morning and after that having a meal and getting a few hours of work done i was already pretty exhausted and i mean 3 hours max. and i couldnt recover for the rest of the day properly. so i learned to start my morning with a shower first thing in the morning followed by a coffee. Now I organise my workout in the evening and it has helped preserve my energy throughout the day.

Great video, Pat! I recently quit my job to start my own business and the first 2 weeks I felt so aimless and forlorn. You really take for granted the structure and comfort of a routine. Back on track now. 👍🏾

I love tip #1 about communication, particularly the reminder to ask the others around you what they’re up to and how you can help. Great video as always! Thanks so much Pat!!

Oh, I knew that morning routine and getting dressed is super important but I never realized that ‘end time’ is important!!! Literally light bulb moment! That was the reason why our family evening routine is always messed up because I am trying to fit in as much work as possible.... THANK YOU!!!

I found that maintaining my morning routine has been the most beneficial. Learning that maintaining a schedule is also very important. Thank you for the time to put this together!

#4 has helped me so much. I schedule almost everything but move things around throughout the day if needed. 💪🏼

Great video! I’m now working from home for three years - main challenge especially at the beginning was lack of social contacts resulting in the fact that too much work was discussed with my wife, And also one should not underestimate the effect of the social contacts one has in a company over the day, which are not there when you were working from home.
Stay safe!🏄🏽‍♂️☀️

The most helpful tips for me were creating a morning routine and scheduling my day. The other tips I got were really helpful as well. Overall I'm so thankful for this video and thank you for talking to me as a friend. I appreciate you!

Physically and mentally being with family - THIS IS HUGE! And crazy hard for me... Im a full time potter working from home and with everyone here right now I keep finding myself trying to escape back to work for breaks. I am doing your courses, reading your books and taking action. Dear Pat,
I used to watch a few videos of yours some years ago and notice how much you have evolved. I love the calm, matured person you have developed into. Congrats and all the best

Great video post! I have worked from home my whole career, but constantly need the focus to keep on schedule and focus on what is important at work and with family. So many things that can distract you - news and social media are time sucks that can throw you off! The 2 big things are the morning routine and the face to face connection -- both so necessary! Thank you!

ALL TIPS GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Am new to WFH so was searching for info around this and found your video, THANK YOU!!!! Shifting gears from being a clinic office nurse to working from home with a different title is so different, this video hit home and makes sense now why I have been struggling. I've been so used to the "leaving home" home routine and all that goes with that preparedness, like the grocery list, the errands the kids needs before I even leave the house in the morning. Giving myself some grace around this transition but also noticing perhaps a fear that productivity is going out the window, Yikes. This video provides exactly what I need right now, Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I went full time on YouTube back in July of 2019 and have been struggling to find a "rhythm" to my workflow since I no longer have the structure of my regular day job. I am going to work towards implementing the suggestions that you made here for sure. I'm the type that likes to keep my schedule open so I have never liked or had much success with my calendar but I'm going to hopefully change that.

Thanks again,

Ben
