I live in Huntington. I was born here and mostly raised here. Family roots from Wayne county. It always cracks me up how everyone is always crying about how bad the addiction problem is. Which it really is and people addicted to drugs deserve help and recovery, but y’all wouldn’t last 5 minutes in a large city with an EVEN BIGGER addiction issue. Go out and do something productive for the community or stop playing woe is me as you complain about a “crackhead” asking you for a fucking quarter outside of the vape store or bars on 4th ave. I make 108k in WV as a Network Engineer. My yearly take home pay is around 67, 000. There's a lot of "taxes" that are never mentioned like property tax, vehicle shenanigans and other stuff.

That's just what they take off the top on income. On the county level, you've got property (both real and vehicle) taxes, levies, etc. That's all coming out of the annual income as well. Lucky to keep half.
