Took down and revised this video to change the metric used to measure rent. Instead of statewide average rent, the number now used to calculate rent is median asking price for a vacant unit statewide. This reflects the current market rates a bit better for the state 🤝👍

Rent seems way too low still. Rent is more than 2000 average. But someone making 100k isn’t average. I doubt someone who makes 100k lives the same as someone who makes 50k

No wonder ppl are moving out of there by truck, plane, car, trains and even walking out, because of the ridiculous cost to live in a place where one 10.1 earthquake will put it into the ocean..and that's FACTUAL 💯

Yep. Sounds pretty accurate for CA but you did included misc. expenses which most of us over spend in that area. Gifts, pet expenses, clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, coffee, eating out, movies, toys if you have kids, medicine, co-pays, credit bills, student loans or education expenses if u have them. After all that you’d be in the red.

My deductions in California is 43% for 100k salary. Sometime it goes up to 45%. That’s from 2021 and 2022. And that’s not including insurance or any other bills. I am left with, on average. $1000 a month for spending money each month.

If you get a job offer from a California company, just work from home or don’t take it!

The insurance Gap is huge. I pay 300/ a month for health 120 for dental. Rent at 36k would be 3k a month which is kinda high. Idk who would pay 3k for rent thats not sharing or rich
