I’m pretty sure the whole centuries later thing was him just resetting time for centuries. His time slipping allowed him to spend centuries learning from OB and Victor by reliving those moments.

I think one of the confusions is that they refer to it as the "Sacred Timeline" in a singular manner. But based on all they've shown us, the sacred timeline is really a woven rope of multiple universes/timelines that do not intersect or interfere with each other. It isn't a single universe that He Who Remains was overseeing.

The implication in the show was that O.B. learned what he knew from Victor Timely's research and notes, not directly from the man himself in some far-flung past. Neither one had ever met the other until that moment in episode 4.

Regarding Loki's appearance, it seems like Odin changed Loki at a genetic/molecular level, and Loki's "default state" would have been Asgardian, except when it was changed back in the presence of Jotun magic. It makes sense if you think about it, imagine some person wanting to hurt the Asgardian royal family's reputation by trying to sneak a DNA test on Loki or the guy accidentally knocking up some girl and she gives birth to a Frost Giant. Those are things that someone wily like Odin would have thought of ahead of time.

Most of the TVA had their memories wiped - probably more than once. OB was the only one who didn’t - out of necessity since he is the only one who understands how the TVA functions for all time, since the Victor Timely variants are constantly learning from scratch.

I always assumed that the "many centuries later" was how many Loops Loki went through to learn everything he needed, each time picking up more and more information, I can't remember the Episode name but Stargate did a similar thing with Teal'c amd O'Neill caught in a loop and having to learn how to tranlsate and alien language to fix it

OB never said he met Victor Timely, he just studied Victor Timely's work.

Can we admit that Loki was pretty damn good. It’s hard to write something like this and have it wrap up so well.

16:45 It’s also worth mentioning that his immunity to temporal radiation seems to be quite related to his ability to control time itself—time slipping—as the temporal radiation simply speeds up aging—that’s it.

Its anchor perspective time travel inside the TVA.

He who remains was the anchor point and could control his place in that time line for the tva. Every time the anchor is dislodged its reset.

When loki took control he became the new anchor and he can control the flow.

And I'm pretty sure the centuries thing was just loki restarting time over and over learning as he repeated.

Doug's right, he looped over and over and over and had thousands of "classes" with OB, building on the knowledge from the previous session. OB would only remember the most recent one due to the loop, but Loki would remember it all.

Mobius is a Odin variant. 2 kids. One loves mischief the other wanted a snake instead of a puppy. Telling you I'm right

It wasn’t flawless, but I’ll watch Mobius and Loki and OB and B15 and Sylvie any day. Really invested me in those characters

My biggest problem is why OB would even think for a moment the throughput multiplier would work on an infinitely growing multiverse. It was a problem I had around epsiode 4 and I'm glad they adressed, but OB is too smart to be surprised by it

21:24 it’s like that episode of Star Trek, where Warf starts time slipping. It’s all on top of itself, and there is an infinite number of universes, because there is an infinite number of choices, and every choice creates a new universe. In consequential choices don’t stay diverged, they collapse. Consequential choices are nexus events. All timelines collapse at an apocalypse. They are more like sign waves than branches of a tree on the broad scale. Like, plucking a string.

There's a very simple answer to the question of why the events of The Avengers in 2012 were never mentioned in Loki when HE went to 2012. Different times of the year. Maybe he went there in April and the Avengers movie took place in August.

That random Homestar Runner reference. I love you, Screencrush.

Clearly the TVA experiences time, because at the beginning of the second season we see that the TVA is ruled by Kang when Loki is returned to the TVA. Then later the TVA has their memories wiped and they believe that it's the three lizards leading the TVA. This is also how Mobius doesn't remember chasing an analyst that looked like Loki before.

So for OB to remember anything that Loki told him, it had to occur after the memory wipe. Though it's strange OB would not also remember having met Loki.

It's really weird we have the tape recording of HWR and Revona, but no explanation of how that recording was made, I speculate that something in the scrapped episode 5 would have explained how that was accomplished.

I think a lot of folks miss the big Ouroboros of this season. He Who Remains shapes Loki into a master of time, to take over his role. The Multiversal War forged HWR. That war can't happen while the Loom exists. Loki destroys it and maintains the Multiverse. Thus, they both HWR and God of Stories Loki create each other. Both are loops on the same infinity symbol.

My primary gripe with the show is that it doesn't SHOW us the entire Ouroboros. We have to assume that it happens, but we don't ACTUALLY see the full "restart" at any point. We have to take Kang's word for it. Like mentioned, we don't see the "past" TVA at any point in the show. Those details are sorely missed.

I think it's more likely that episodes 5 and 6 were rewritten to lead to Majors' potential exit. I think the original plan was to show us the Ouroboros through the "reset", and Loki reassembling the team himself(in fact, I think the reassembly shots ARE from this narrative, just recut to be the story we actually received). The key here is that we still do not have a solid answer to when/how the TVA workers had their memories erased, and the TVA rebranded to follow the Time Keepers. This would have included the Renslayer content. That's why we feel like there are plot holes and pieces are missing.
