Ok so the entry ends with loki sat on the throne at the end of time controlling all the branches that he's able to hold in place. Finally he's realised the purpose of rule and that it requires sacrifice and giving up things for his people. This is something that he struggled with early on and the MCUs actually shown he didn't understand it. All the way back in the first avengers he came to Earth and had people bow down before him.

The end broke my heart. He finally found friendship and then ended up alone. I was gutted seeing his last scene. "Heavy is the head that wears the crown."

This is definitely the best thing the MCU has produced in years. They need to use the Loki writers for as much stuff as they can!

From the main villain of the Avengers to saving his friends and the entire multiverse, call that a character arc! I’m going to miss Loki if he doesn’t come back, but mad respect for what we got 👏🏾

Loki and Rocket Raccoon have had some of the best character arcs in the MCU.

The old saying, "Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it" never rang truer. Such a sad ending. Hopefully we see Loki return as Avenger Prime...

I love scenes with "He who remains". He is so much of a troll and wise all in one. Every step and move is planned out or figured out. 10 steps ahead of every character and only the quick learning of Loki was able to see this.

This ending is so good and left me with such a odd feeling like I want to be happy that Loki succeeded in his glorious purpose but at the same time I want to cry because look at what he sacrificed to achieve it.

Loki weaving the green time-strands into Yggdrasil was literally magical and dramaturgically brilliant ✨

Him chatting with Kang was my favourite scene next to Loki ascending his throne so to speak. I hope Majors stays on as Kang, it was cool to see him drop the playful facade of He Who Remains and give it to Loki straight. Great acting from them both

If Loki is brought back in the movies they have a massive problem in that he has become the most rounded character in the MCU

Loki had the greatest "I'm Him" moment in MCU history

In Norse mythology there is a story of Loki being imprisoned within a tree and being told he could only get free if someone sheds a tear for him. After centuries a man sits down to rest below the tree when our mischievous God saw an opportunity as he reached a branch down to scratch the man's eye creating a tear of blood!! Maybe it's a stretch but while Loki has his throne it came with the cost of imprisoning himself for eternity!

In The Avengers (2012), Loki made a statement when he first arrived when he said "Freedom is life's greatest lie, once you accept that, you will know peace". I think with the way the series was set up, everything that Loki did to desperately change the outcome has already been predetermined to fail. He Who Remains knows this, and he was just waiting for Loki to accept the very thing he said himself–that freedom was a lie. Once Loki accepted his fate then could he have peace knowing he saved everything he cared about.

God I hope Loki’s story isn’t over, and I do mean this Loki at the end of time. I want a Thor reunion…I want his brother to see what he has become and the ultimate sacrifice he’s made for humanity….and Frigga too. Loki deserves that at the very least.💔

I loved how Loki rushed everyone to do what needed to be done as quickly as possible and no one was able to withstand his willpower. He simply exuded authority, so they just did what he told them.

My inital thoughts when he was holding the timeline branches and they turned green, was that he was essentially spreading his conciousness across the timelines, thus making him a Nexus being and completing that part of the ouroboros loop. Him sitting on the throne not only seen as a sacrifice of infinite solitude to guard the timelines, but that if there are an infinite number of variant Kangs, then there will be an infinite number of variant Lokis to fight against them.

That was my inital take when watching that scene anyway

"Time is an illusion." and it's beautiful to see that the character who creates illusions now controls time. So that was character development at its finest. And I found it funny that he always wanted the throne and now he's firmly attached to one. It's interesting to see his wish come true, but it comes with enormous responsibility. Sensational series finale. I hope Marvel continues to build their movies so well after the low point of the last few years.
