Tbh, I never even questioned why Cap was there. I just assumed he remembered where everyone was and what day it was when he went back into the past, so he went there when he knew it was time.

I still want to see Steve's reaction to returning the Soul Stone and finding Red Skull there.

The Loki series offhandedly explained that everything that occured in Endgame were meant to happen. No new branches in time were created. Its not a plot hole anymore. None of the million possibilities were ever gonna come true.

Alligator Loki was Awesome! Can we have a Frog Thor and Loki Alligator spin-off.

Honestly makes so much sense now! I was thinking that cap was there the entire time during the Carter series, because it was the only thing that ever made sense to me

The multiverse is allowed to exist with the TVA. Variants and various universes exist. Any variant which, in their universe, leads to the existence of Kang, gets pruned.

As far as I am concerned, there should only be one time travel theory in movies. All other theories that deviate from Back to the Future must be pruned!

Red Crimson said he fought Captain America in 84. So when Steve went back in time, he could have interfered in places he knew he could without changing the timeline.

The audio for this video is really quite. Is this just for me or are others having this experience?

Cap being present in the 80s and 90s would explain the comments by Red Guardian in "Black Widow", meleeing with Captain America. Red Guardian is not crazy or anything, he just met undercover Steve and no one believed him!

It also helps explain the throwaway gag in Black Widow about the Red Guardian coming toe-to-toe with Cap back in the day. I've not quite found Kevin Feige's new explanation (that Aleksei originally just made it up to make himself sound more impressive and then after years in prison actually started believing his own lie) convincing enough based on what we saw of his character in Black Widow. So perhaps he DID actually encounter Cap, just the older version that married Peggy. She was head of an top secret organisation after all, who's to say she didn't covertly bring Steve out of retirement in the 70s or 80s to combat the Red Guardian?

But the Black Widow movie makes a reference to Alexi (Red Guardian) fighting with Captain America when he was supposedly frozen in ice. This suggests that Cap did not live in a alternate universe but actually did go back in time in the same universe and was Captain America in the past. This again fits into the sacred timeline because only one Cap was active at any given time. I love how MCU all works together.

Pretty sure this video makes the plot hole worse.

To recap: endgame said that if you don’t return an infinity stone from the point back in time when you got it then you create another time. That’s exactly what Loki did so it stands to reason that Loki created a new timeline. This checks out even for super special MCU time travel.

But The Loki TV show changed it so now anything an individual does that they are supposed to do creates a new timeline and makes them a “variant”. And in order to prevent multiple Kangs, the TVA prunes alternate time lines in order to protect the sacred timeline.

But the TVA also has the discretion to not prune certain instances of time travel? But this breaks the Loki show’s own logic. By that notion, there already exist an alternate universe when the avengers went back in time to take the space stone but Loki gets away. We see that the TVA attempted to prune Loki but what about that timeline?

And Steve Rogers going back in time to remain with Peggy makes him “Biffy” from Back to the Future. All this future knowledge in the past, just him knowing would probably create a new timeline. Not to mention, Peggy knowing and being with Cap would create another new timeline.

Let’s be real, the MCU is broken after Endgame. Loki was super fun to watch and really entertaining but it did not help. Loki changed the rules again because Endgame logic doesn’t work.

Ultimately, we just got to enjoy the ride cause now with the Multiverse, Loki logic turns into “Whatever Disney wants will be in the MCU cause with the Multiverse, it already exist”.

I have a theory. The timeline Steve creates when he goes back to be with Peggy is one of the 14, 000, 000 that Dr. Strange saw that ended in apocalypse, and since apocalypses don't create nexus events explained in "Loki" he was free to live in it with Peggy without being on the TVA's radar.

Captain america went back in time to put all the stones in their rightful places. He then lives out his life with peggy, and uses the last pym particle tube to go back to his own timeline when he is older to sit back on that bench. Since he was in the other timeline that they took the stones from in endgame, so if he just waited at that bench the same thing may have happened but he needed to go back to his own timeline.

You didn’t touch on the fact the the red soldier stated in black widow he fought capt in the 80’s.

He took a MAGIC HAMMER with him. Trying to make sense of all this flew out the window years ago.

Excuse me but this is wrong. Steve went back to put the stones on their right places before their Nexus Events, base on the conversation between the Ancient One and Banner.

He had to ask for help or made a deal with the Ancient One before being sent back to the 1940s.

UPDATE....
So on AoU, Ultron mentions that before the Avengers there were Invaders. Now, in CA:FA there was no mention of the Invaders but there was a mention of the Howling Commandos. There is a possibility that Steve created the Invaders with Black Panther, Antman and Wasp, Howard Stark, the Ancient One and Isacc Bradley.

I never actually thought it was a plot hole; it was basically as definite an outcome as our present understanding of physics permits to exist.

"invented the time heist"
The one Doctor Who episode from 2014 literally called Time Heist: "Am I a joke to you?"
