I wish I knew this. My XS Max broke and they put an LCD on my phone. I no longer have 3D Touch, true-tone and my brightness is weird now. Also, the panel is a bit thicker so it is raised up a bit above the frame of my phone, so when I’m holding it, sometimes I touch things I don’t mean to because it’s no longer flat. It’s not the worst thing, but it’s definitely not as nice as the screen this phone came with.

I’ve been using my iPhone XR for 2 years and some change and my screen never cracked ❗️ despite dropping and constant water damage WITHOUT screen protector! I’m typing this on my water damaged phone now lol 😭 this phone is VERY durable

Always go OLED if possible. The main issue with putting an LCD screen on an iPhone that came with an OLED panel is that the phone wasn’t designed initially to have an LCD panel, and on top of that some screen manufacturers tend to cut major corners with LCD panels causing the logic boards to damage.

My iPhone X has a replaced display it’s a LCD, what I noticed is that the blacks on this screen is not that deep it almost looks like the LCD display of the IP XR.

I have an iPhone X and one day my son grabbed it off my bed and Frisbeed it at the wall it cracked a little bit but still worked. Then it got dropped on the tile floor and hasn't worked since. It powers on and picture still looks good... but.. I can't unlock it or use the screen at all... so does that mean the digitizer needs replaced too? Is that something that usually comes with the screen? And to be sure I understood your video correctly I need the OLED screen correct?

Great video. Had to order an lcd for an xs max I feel guilty but had to for the budget of the family member who needed a new phone. Also you forgot to mention that you should look out for true tone repair. As some shops don't have the required programmer. In my case I'm stocking up all the tools now before I open my first store.

Whether you have a shop or buy it yourself online a replacement screen after the job has been done how can you tell if you have an OLED screen? And someone didn’t lie to you saying it was an OLED and really it’s just an LED. iPhone 11 Pro max

i dont want to replace a new iphone rn, i have my iphone xs for 5 years now, is it worth spending on olcd?
plus, ive got to mention i took my phone for a store to be replaced 3 times (yeah my phone suffer ) and it broke easly, i already spand a lot of money on it.

Fun fact: I’m literally about 2 minutes away from putting a new screen on this very iPhone X I am writing this on now. Pretty sure it’s an LCD, but oh my god I am so done with the pink and green lines on my OLED that at this point I really don’t mind lol
