IPs have light in the back that shines through and has different color filters, so to make black, it has to block the light. OLED screens have self lit pixels and so they just simply turn off

OLED are the most color inaccurate, I can't read texts on Samusng amoled
Got teary eyes many many threads are on reddit regarding cloudy musa effect of oled..
Unfortunately iPhone also uses Samsung displays

Indeed, in my opinion the colors on the IPS LCD look more neutral and I do like that. I think the white balans is better on LCD. It is real white and on OLED it is a tad yellow.

I use the amoled screen i can spot the difference lol. The dark is so good on oled. I have to buy the led monitors.

Took apple that long to get OLED screens and samsung has had AMOLED since I believe either the S2 or S3

Bros, after using a smartphone IPS for two years, switched to OLED and I prefer IPS. Nothing extraordinary; from my perspective, the battery isn't something extraordinary either (which vary from smartphone, my old IPS was a entry level, my OLED now is a Pixel 6a.

IPS looks more cleaner. OLED have a strong display that makes my eyes irritated sometime.

coming from a xr user to the 12, if you have a xr do your eyes a favor and upgrade to the 12, with the xr i was always stressing that things didnt load that fast but with the 12 its so fast my eyes cant believe it. so if you are a gamer that wants a cheap good gaming phone get the 12, if you want a way cheaper phone which is 100$ less get the xr
