Dude at least use the same backgrounds or something geez. Every phone comparison u do always has drastically different backgrounds so it’s hard to see true differences

Best way to make comparion is to use same background

This is not how you compare an OLED and an LCD display.

Here's the main thing:

That one year difference carries a year's worth of innovation on display tech, even if it's subtle.

The S24U's display isn't the same as the S23U and as such, to the S22U.

And that "Oled iPhones tend to have better battery life" is pretty false the moment you start using them. Pretty much the 11 and XR had great battery life, respective to their battery capacities. Hence why those phones are highly popular, still. Oleds tend to use more power the brighter a pixel is, and most of your screens are typically lit. Furthermore, LCDs can go remarkably dim thanks to the fact that they don't need to do PWMD to avoid giving users eye-stran at lower brightness levels.

And as for the "infinite contrast ratio" that is pretty useless. All forms of media don't use it, thus there being almost zero difference between an Oled and an LCD display when it comes to that.

Where the difference is at, are on the dynamic range and shade distinction.

Oleds, thanks to their LED pixels, can have dynamic contrast. Meaning, the contrast and dynamic range within parts of the screen can differ, especially in medias expressing mixed colors and light effects. This is what makes them *"Pop"* more.

LCDs on the other hand, can't do that. Their contrast will be the same althroughout the screen as the brightest of the pixels are reliant on the backlight. It's very hard for those unlit pixels to mimic the dynamic contrast of Oleds.

But, this results in LCDs have a more consistent viewing experience, though flatter.

In HDR videos, Oleds' dynamic contrast really makes things look clear and crisp whilst, on the LCDs, they tend to have more depth to them.

As for the IPS-glow, it's not noticeable when you're using top-class LCD displays... But the iPhone 11's display isn't the best LCD on a phone... In fact, that's a far cry from a phone that's way older...

I'm talking about the LG G6. If you didn't know, the G6's contrast ratio is the highest on any LCD display on a phkne, reaching over 2k to 1. What results is one heck of an LCD display that has similar image quality as those in Oleds without the disadvantages that comed with them.

Although the OLED screens look more impressive at first glance, the LCD screens are more restful on the eyes especially in low light. The dpi of the screens also follows this logic of impressiveness rather than usifulnes. The human eye, at the minimum focus distance, can distinguish details with boundaries of 300dpi and this is possible only for young people. I'm not used to looking at my phone with a magnifying glass..

OLED is better obviously. But IPS panels are much more affordable for TV's and Monitors. For phones, yeah not all that much cash. Budget androids have OLED's now.

One thing some people don't talk about which screen will last longer before messing up you have panels that flicker some get burned in and things like that people should consider when buying a phone because you definitely don't want to spend a thousand bucks for a phone just to have the screen mess up on you because of something stupid

Well imo oled is more of a saving battery for a device. Important is ppi. LCD with the right amount of ppi for your eyes will be enough. Never the less amoled or oled still is the best in display. Didnt felt much different when toggle from my iPad mini 4 to X. Unless maybe newer iphone like the iPhone 13 i may get a different view on this

The phone on the left just looks better to me. The OLED on the right has a yellow looking hue overall in comparison.

I have iPhone 11 the problem is I work food delivery. It’s hard to see Google map on display because reflection from the sun. Because I ride motorcycle for delivery, I put the phone on the handle to see direction. Is it Oled display can solve?
