OLED uses less power only when they display black content because the pixels are off. However, OLED actually consumes more power than LCD when displaying whites and bright content. And we all know Android and iOS nowadays uses a lot of white on their UI. So the power savings from OLED is pretty much rendered useless by UI design.

You should also mention that samsung has the biggest production of oled displays and they sell to apple

Samsung phones with oled display are cheaper than iphones with lcd display.

Well, Apple sources its displays from Samsung so I think the actual reason was some sort of a contract between Apple and Samsung.
OLED is going down in price as of now. But the thing is, Samsung is now working on Micro LED which is the next step up from OLED. Micro LED doesn't have that organic aspect of OLED therefore the burn in and other cons of OLED are not an issue with micro LED. Just wait a few years and watch Samsung start releasing micro LED 4K TV, smartphones, etc. only for Apple to release it on their computers and smartphones a few years after Samsung.

I would also say that a huge reason as to why Apple didn't make the switch sooner is that OLED's did not exhibit the color accuracy, longevity, or brightness of quality LCD panels just a few years ago. It wasn't until recently that the relatively young OLED technology matured enough to have almost no compromises compared to LCD, other than cost of difficulty of manufacture, which will of course improve over time as you pointed out.

I have been using OLED display smartphones since 2011 ( note 1 ) and I simply can't go back to an LCD smartphone there is a huge difference IMO they cant be even compared really
the depth of the colors and the black levels are just incredible
I wish in the near future everything uses OLED especially pc screens and TVs
