Thank you sir made my repair go smooth. Note for anyone else: water pump pliers might be handy to get the water inlet supply hose off.

If my dishwasher is doing everything but heating is it 100 percent the heating element or could something else be bad?

Since the power supply is disconnected, why do you need to disconnect the wires in the junction box?
