I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video! I was about to drop hundreds on a new dishwasher despite our GE only being four years old…saw this, replaced the float/thermistor with one from Amazon for $30 delivered, and we’re back in business with heat and proper drainage! THANK YOU!!

I can't thank you enough! I had purchased a new heating element a while back and it stayed in the garage waiting for me to overcome my shyness at having to remove the unit. This fix was easy and quick. And hey! I've got an element to sell if anyone needs it! LOL

I was able to clean the unit! This is in a rental and it looks like the tenant thought this was the garbage disposal. Thank you for making this video I never would have known to check that.

Eric! Thank you so much for sharing this video. I didn't even know the thermistor existed. I had replaced the hearting element and was about to give up when I saw your video. $25 to purchase and not even 30 mins to swap it out. Dishwasher is hotter than ever! Thanks!

Thank you so much, I fixed my dishwasher using your video and one other video, you both mentioned the same thing to replace this flood part!! It was easy and inexpensive, I got this part on Amazon for $15

Thanks for the video and the link to the part! Seemed like this was my issue and for such an easy replacement and sub 20 dollar part, said what the heck and ordered it. I had a lot of sediment down in there that probably clogged things up. Cleaned it all up, swapped the part, and it’s back like new!

This worked! $17.50 for knock-off brand part on Amazon, easy replacement just like dude in the vid. I was super skeptical and ready to just eat that 17.50 and call the appliance guys. They’re great and all but expensive. This saved me a couple hundred dollars!!

This worked for me. That part was gummed up with who the heck knows what. I believe I need to run white vinegar through more often. I changed the part just in case since it was only $20. Thank you for the video!

Yup, same symptoms. Replaced float switch per your video (who knew how gunned up the bottom of a dishwasher can get!!). How water, dry dishes once again. I owe you a beer. Well done video, thanks.

I was so excited, until I took apart the 3 things shown in my GE dishwasher which was bought new in May and found mine does not have that part under the filter. Maybe its underneath and more thermostat style. Ok, wasn't a total fail. Since I did take out the lower blade, larger filter, and pump filter.... I cleaned everything thoroughly, reassembled and ran a test run and now its 123F (using infrared temp checker). So I guess it was clogged pump filter?

I have a question: your repair will fix my problem if it have no hot water in the dishwasher? I have water is coming in, but dishes aren’t totally clean especially with oils or grease on the dishes, and I do notice its not hot inside the dishwasher after the dishwasher run. I do know my hot water heater IS working when the dishwasher is on….
