One of the best repair videos I've ever watched. I appreciate the simplicity of the tutorial . Made it easy for everyone to follow and understand. Thank you sir !

Replaced this part in my GE dishwasher, along with the tub gasket The original bottom door seal was falling apart and was certainly the main contributor to the leakage.

The repair went pretty well, but on our model, in addition to the (3) visible screws on each side, there were (2) screws - one on each side - at the bottom of the door attaching the outer panel to the hinge. Detecting those took a while and those are no longer in place after the reinstall!

Removing the original bottom door seal was a bit of a challenge, but I eventually could lift up the inner door enough to grab the old part with needle nose pliers and slowly get it out. The new part went in fairly easily in comparison.

Thanks for the video.

Unsurprisingly, wasn't exactly the same as my Kenmore (which I think is really a Whirlpool) but gave me enough information/guidance to make the fix.

My model didn't have that seal (Amana) so I sprayed in a lot of Flex Seal which slowed the leak considerably.
I'm going to spray some more this weekend to see if I can stop entirely

Found this video very helpful as I just had to replace the door seal on the GE dishwasher I had here at the place I am renting. You should mention that some models don't need to have the front panel removed (Like the models with the controls in the top of the door.

Nice video, thanks! I think if you also take out and set aside that lower dish rack, you'll have more room to work and the door panels won't bump into it.

Thanks for the video. Any idea if this part would work for dishwasher GDT696SSF0SS? The bottom seal seems different but I'm having trouble finding the part online. Thanks

Good video. I have a slightly different door that is a stainless steel model with the dishwasher controls located in the door front panel. The model is GE PWD7712J00SS. Do you have a video for this model to replace the short bottom seal?

I just need the bottom sliding rack replaced. Dishwasher itself works PERFECTLY. JUST RACK has rusted resulting in divisions breaking off. Top rack fine.

I have a GE profile dishwasher PDW7300J00BB - there is not a lower door panel - the exterior door is one piece - not two like shown. How to I gain access to remove the interior door panel screws?

I have a GE GLDA696P01SS. The repairman told me the gasket the runs along the bottom of the door is crimped into the door panel. He said they sell a gasket part separately but it cannot be installed as it needs to be crimped. Sounds a bit odd to me. Any insight?

I have a gap between the bottom of the dishwasher and the door, so the bottom rack castors fall into this gap if I don't lift it up when pulling out the bottom rack. Is there a name for this part or do I have to replace the door?

I notice that no one has shown how to replace the air inlet on the Kenmore Elite (Whrilpool body).  I guess because you would need  REALLY LONG tune...  ;->

None the less, I love your videos.  They are extremely helpful, but I find that I am on my own with respect to replacing that broken air inlet!

My dishwasher is leaking from both the left and right sides ( we have a Maytag ) I think its the gasket ( it doesn't look bad though ) but how do I know if its really the gasket? Is it possible its the bottom seal of the dishwasher door? How dose one know the difference between the two to know which one needs to be replaced? I've already check the water levels, drains, hoes, soap amount, and it is cleaned on a regular basis.

My new seal had a small notch in it. It seems to be leaking at it.
