Thank you so much!! I did a search for water not coming into the dishwasher since mine was getting hot but dirt was dried on and the washer was dry. I found info for a failed float sensor then found this video. We got it apart, hubby ran and got a new float sensor. It took no time at all to put things back together. Saved us a pile of money for a service call. Thanks again!!!!

Thank you!!! I just fixed my dishwasher for $32.60 for a genuine GE part and about 1/2 hour total, saving me the $950 my wife was about to spend on a new unit. Thanks again!!

Thank you so much for the video instructions and tips! I followed the steps, and was able to fix the dishwasher. The filter got stuck so hard that it broke the top when I tried to get it out. I ended up have to break it in pieces to get it out. After that, I was able to continue and finish the procedures successfully.

Thank you for the video. I am incredibly un-handy and always get easily overwhelmed when faced with the prospect of having to fix anything at all. I'm thankful for YouTube. But I was actually able to do this, and now our heated dry works again! It was just as easy as the video implies. Thank you.

My year old GE dishwasher does not have this style switch. I believe it’s located underneath, on the side of the pump assembly. Any thoughts?

How do you test that float switch to see if it is actually bad or not?

Can I use a multimeter to test the float? And if so, what pins?

Maybe im blind but when i pull out the fine filter, there is nothing beneath it. Could my float be located elsewhere? The dishwasher is only 2 years old.
