Hey whatsup guys OSG here with the relentless series known as the a-z of commodore 64 hidden gems and we are nearing the finish line now. Today I will be showing you 10 games beginning with V that I think fall into the hidden gem bracket. Unlike some of the previous letters I believe I have played all the games beginning with V after searching the darkest corners of the net to finds some truly unknown games. The reason for this was my normal bible resources Lemon64 and Gamebase64 were somewhat lacking in games for this letter. Anyway, I think I’ve pulled it out of the bag and delivered a great episode packed full of good games for you to get your teeth into
So, without more delay let’s take a look at the A-Z of Commodore 64 Hidden Gems beginning with V in order of greatness

Volfied isn't just a Qix-style game, but a real successor to Qix from Taito by, of all people, the designer of Bubble Bobble!

Great man, Volfied is a title I had anticipated for a long time...underrated gem!

Amazing how many very good high quality C64 games there are that I've never heard of.. It's great to experience these now for the first time and keeps me interested in the beloved breadbin 😍

I know you're sick of this series, but I think it won't be truly complete until you pull up 10 hidden gems from the "0-9" category too. GB64 considers those numbers their own "letter" :)

In German, "die" is pronounced "dee". In fact, 'ie' is always 'ee'

Remember this phrase: "Never say DIE", and you won't make that mistake.

I hadn't seen Vancouver/Challenger before, but it's something I've wondered about: a scrolling version of the famous Blitz style gameplay. I guess it was renamed by someone who really didn't like the Canadian city of Vancouver :)

Nice list, thanks. I played some Vincent it's indeed a good casual platformer with nice graphics and music.

Vampyre.... I finished it the old fashioned way back in the day. It was one of my favourite platformers (despite not being loved at all by the magazine reviewers) and I spent many happy afternoons playing it before finally completing it. For £2.99 it was a steal !!!! Dude, I can't believe you are on "V", you are almost finished. This series of videos continues to be fantastic and should be an essential set for rewatching in years to come. The amount of ROMs I would never have ever touched that are now in my folder thanks to this 👍

Volfied looks like a lot of fun. I enjoy that Qix style of puzzle game and Volfied has a rich look about it. I like the burn-up along the line rather than instant death, too. Great job!

V-GA for me I reckon, looks very nice. And yet more flying through caves!

I've been binge watching your stuff..

Really good vids. It all gets right to it and no boring over the top and unnecessary explanations. Just perfect.

Keep up the good content, my friend !

I think you may know about it, but the game “Vampire” is a version made for the rest of Europe of an spanish game called “Phantomas 2” by Dinamic Software.
Thank you for your videos. I love them.
From a fan in Japan.

I remember buying Vampire as a cheapo. It was completely not what I expected, but was pretty fun regardless.

Lol, The Vikings. That's a danish game by Søren Grønbech (widely known for Sword of Sodan, Giganoid and Datastorm on the Amiga), who shortly after also did Tiger Mission. Kele-Line the company was started in 1986, but it went bankrupt in 1987, not paying a dime to most of the developers. The manager Keld Jensen had forged papers from the bank and ended up running away.
