I have a jam inside of my first stage feeder and this is the ONLY video on youtube that does a deep dive into this friggen thing. Less than 5 minutes too! There are so many videos that take 10-15 minutes just to say "change the PTFE tubes!" which isn't even my problem.
Thank you so much!

I just had the issue where it thinks theres no filiment whan there is. I wish you would have been a little more detailed with the dissasembly with the 1st stage feeder but i did figure out the pin that holds the assembly in the cap. Mine doesnt have a magnet and spring, it has a free floating ball that comes out when filiment is loaded and presses a micro switch on the board rather than a magnet and hall effect switch like yours...so I'm not sure if mine is old style and yours new or vice versa. Regardless I found junk in where the ball is too, cleaned it up and re-assembled. Seeing as I already installed the new feeder and got back to printing I'm not actually sure if the ball wasnt pressing the micro switch because of the debris or if my micro switch is porked...I'll find out after this print lol.
Thanks for this video, it definitely helped plus I learned more about my printer!!

I think you just saved me $35.

EDIT: You have the old-style feeder and I have the new-style, but this video still led me in the right direction of finding crusty buildup that was preventing the switch from moving correctly.

On 2:20 how do you remove the feeder from the clear housing? I've removed all the screws but there is a pin on one of the sides where the feeder pivots that prevents to be removed. Your video magically jumps to the part already disassembled. Do you mind posting instructions?

Lifesaver! I already bought the replacement before I found this video, so I have a spare part now. 🤣

It would have been nice if you would have shown how to take off the clear plastic cover. This is useless without that information

How do you get that funnel part that the board is screwed to out of the clear shroud it's in?

How did you get the filament guide (the assembly with sensor and bearing) out of the clear housing?
Possibly fully disassembling it is unnecessary. Next time this happens I will try blowing a lot of compressed air fown the feeding tube to hopefully avoid all this disassembly again. But I learned alot by taking it apart. Funny, I bought the x1c to avoid tinkering....Next 3d printer will be a Prusa XL

my leds are blinking and when i put filament in the led lights up for that one that is loaded, lights up white. None of them will load and haven't since day one. It 'sometimes' will feed to the middle of the back spring but then pulls back out. So I think it is a bad connection or board somewhere. I've checked all connectors and they look like they are all firmly attached and secure. I'm at a loss and bambu has been little help. This 350 dollar unit hasn't worked since unboxing :(

Brilliant! Thanks for this. I had a similar issue and fixing (cleaning out the hall sensor) this myself saved me a huge hassle. cheers

@SuperheroDIY i got the same issue but when I turn of the printer and turn it back on the light on the ams turns off so I can feed filament. But when I remove the filament the light stays on. So I need to reboot to feed in new filament. Don’t know how to fix it

You wouldn't know what the first stage feeder connector that plugs into the main board is by chance? I want to try to find an extension for it to see if I can't get 5kg rolls to be able to use the ams
