Thank you! mine has been doing the same thing lately, seems as though after letting it sit for a few months after a surgery and firing it up this started happening to mine. Unfortunately, for me though it seems to be more than one of the slots. Have only had the X1C and AMS for about 10 months though, hopefully warranty is good still good.

Yep! Mine is slot 4. I haven't taken the time to replace it yet. That is the only issue I have had with this printer. I absolutely love it! I have printed hundreds of items and have had only about 3 failed prints. I'm an early backer from the Kickstarter.

Make me happy that almost everyone has excellent support. I really like my X1C. Thank You for the video. Yes, I know it uses a lot of filament. But it has saved so many prints that I know would have been bad. I Love it. makes me look like I know what I am doing. It has put the fun back into 3d printing

Ugh, this is happening to me too, on my slot 2. I am pretty sure I'm just going to buy a replacement since I have had my machine since just after Kickstarter. Thank you!

Thanks for the insight. My AMS slot 2 keeps locking up and saying i have stuck filment in the extruder so im assuming its the same issue because it wont retract, Ive replaced and cleaned the extruder 3 times and same issue.

Got my x1c wit hams 2 days ago, OH MY, im having a blast here with my kidds :) Printing all kinds of stuff :) Funny part is. i dont know anything about 3d printers but yeah, x1c just works :) had 2 missprints with petg but that was all my fault (settings was wrong) after that, managed to make a petg print too :)

I was having an issue and found your video, but mine was a little different it wouldn't return and was grinding and i had to help it return. this was only a day old printer. it was doing it on slots 2 and 3 come to find out the rubber roller in the front must of came lose in shipping. i pushed both down and it snapped in and working fine.

Check your tubes. They do wear down and guess where the dust and debris end up. Bambu Wiki has a section on the tubes.

interesting. I will try the air trick. my problem is, sometimes motor 1 (slot 1) cant push the filament all the way to the extruder. maybe its getting hung up somewhere. the other slots dont have an issue.

I have the same problem and Bambu has replaced the first stage on warrenty.
Is it possible to repair the defective stage?
So I have a spare part.

Was the filament chewed up at that point, like the gears stripped it and couldn't move it?
Have you taken apart the bad piece to see why it failed?

I had the same issue and contacted Bambu and after a week with no response I took the printer apart and cleaned the filament sensor with IPA. It has worked OK since, but I have had to run IPA over the sensor again once already. So I am not sure it is a permanent fix.

I have replaced several feeders, I can take one out and back within a 1/2 hour, I have one now that I replaced because it would grab the filament run in a little bit and then pull back spit the filament out and then the feeder keeps retracting with the red light flashing. the new feeder does the same so now the only thing to do is submit a ticket to Bambu, the AMS seems to be the weak spot in the system
