Being bored and loving the taste of food reasons 😁

I've been emotionally eating all my life. Each year I make improvements to what I leave at the grocery store and what I keep in my home, I'm always researching and learning from wholesome sources how to nutritionally improve my longevity and quality of life. I started off life with "normal" American processed foods. Now I eat fruits and vegetables. I cook veggies with coconut oil and/or avocado oil. I eat apples with almond butter that doesn't have added sugar. Also raw nuts and seeds. Eventually one of two things happens: 1. I get tired of constantly cooking and cleaning the kitchen so I switch to black coffee or water for the rest of the day, 2. I realize that my body's needs are satisfied and that I don't need more food, so I switch to black coffee or water for the rest of the day. Not being sarcastic. About once each month I do an extra grocery run to eat a pint of vegan ice cream with no added sugar or a similar treat. So yes this is still emotional eating and yes it still has it's downsides but because of what I keep in my home and what I leave at the grocery store, I've never in my 30+ years dealt with being overweight despite my beginnings. Restaurants are a rarity/special occasion for me. No added sugar, no alcohol or substances that trigger desires for highly processed foods, and even careful selection of WHO I keep close to me and spend time with. My husband and mother-in-love have DRASTICALLY changed their food habits as a result of my influence. SO, if you're an emotional eater, I want you to understand that it's not worth beating yourself up about. What IS worth your time and energy is following great advice like what's in this video and prioritizing your long-term wellness a step or two at a time. Allow the process to teach you how to trust yourself as you learn how to eat with integrity, even if you're still an emotional eater for years to come.
