Never explain yourself to ppl who believe lies easily, they already to a took side when they ask you to explain. If ppl really know you, they would brush off what they heard and come to your defense. I had a conversation with my narc today. She told me a fact about my past that was completely wrong. She questioned my memory by saying, “ Well, I don’t remember that”. Long ago she debated me about the date I was diagnosed with Cancer!!! I wish I had paid more attention back then. Now I wonder who she blasted incorrect facts to. She is the town crier amongst her friend circle!! I’m resisting the temptation to reach out to one of her flying monkeys to see if she was told untruths…

They are but it’s their own problem not yours. Be careful they suck all your energy and after that they drop you. So they can go to a new supply.

After the last discard, I wrote the narc a long letter, detailing all that I had discovered about him and our relationship. It was factual and not harsh. I accepted some of the blame for not seeing specific patterns and red flags that he made very evident. You see, he was thrown out of his marriage for cheating (I suspect now that he cheated often, but was caught once), he was thrown out of his new supplies home for being disrespectful, he groomed me and while he was doing so, started seeing another woman. For 6 months he was seeing both of us. I was not as quick to validate him or spend money on him, so he opted for the other supply - a widow 10 years is senior, who has promised him lavish trips. Wow! Bullet. Dodged. This woman appears quite accomplished and intelligent; she should be able to sniff out his evil nature soon enough.
