Yeah, definitely not a poacher. Poachers don't go out and buy a license, wear orange, and hunt ethically. He probably thought it was public land when it wasn't. Not that big of a deal.

Give me a break. This guy would not be stupid enough to place a TREE STAND, Wear Orange and poach for deer. Probably a honest mistake...Believe me, I can not stand poachers and should be dealt with, but this is a little over the top.

I don't think the hunter actually knew he was on on land not available for public use.  No one that intends to poach is going to wear blaze orange.

this is pretty tame poaching... ignorance of the law is no excuse but this guy just figured the paper companies don't care because 99% of the time they don't. He was in blaze orange and cooperative and not evasive at all. 

How else are the wardens going to finance all there awesome toys if they don't hassle people for minor infractions and get their 100-300 fines!

Sneaking up doesn't seem very safe. I'd want the hunter to know I wasn't a deer.

Whether the hunter knew or not, when you're hunting you usually know most of the rules through the grapevine or properly reading laws and rules about the sport. Props to the wardens for issuing a ticket.
