Trespassing and illegally trapping. He deserved what he got. Kudos to the Wardens. Never had an issue with one and I've hunted and fished my whole life. Trap, hunt and fish legally. If you're legal, no issue. Period.

It appears from reading these comments many people do not like the game wardens, its really simple, obey the law and they will leave you alone, its not that difficult. It seems that people who say they love the outdoors and hunting and fishing but think they can do whatever they want and laws should not be enforced. Many people get away with breaking them as there really not that much put into enforcing wildlife laws.

If you go to Mexico and try to hunt deer you'll be met with pure disappointment. The lack of game wardens made it so wildlife never recovered and will never recover from over hunting.

The fact he said "I told my wife you'd be waitin today" absolutely pisses me off. I've hunted and fished my whole life and always did so legally for the sake of wildlife conservation.

I have hunted and trapped for 40 some years and never in all that time have I seen a warden out in the field, not even on public lands. The only time I see them are when they come into camp, or they're driving around looking for road hunters.

My friend's dog walked into a snare. Within city limits, no tags or emergency release buttons on the trap. Almost choked his dog to death and would have if we didn't happen to have a serrated pocket knife on us.

Loose a few(dozen) pounds and hunt your animals on foot instead of setting a trap and hoping you catch something legal.

Should confiscate the truck and traps too. Known repeat offender.

In Texas if you are caught with ONE under-size catfish, they can seize the fish, the boat, all of your fishing geat in the boat, the boat trailer and the truck you used to pull the boat and trailer to the lake.
You won't get any of it back.

They usually reserve that for repeat offenders, or dumbasses who try to argue with them.

I'm from Maine and we love our wildlife out here, camping is almost all we know, that being said, I doubt the Wardens just left it there to suffer, if they could help it, i'm sure they did, if they couldn't, i'm sure they put it out of its misery.
