Cops Fined for Baiting, Poaching Trophy Deer in Sierra Foothills

Two Amador County officers posted numerous rare trophy kills online prompting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to investigate. Marissa Perlman reports. (4-8-21)

the punishment is “not having the license to hunt legally” for a SINGLE year!

that sounds like No punishment At All -because they were hunting illegally for the last number of years

there is no punishment for law enforcers who break the law

if you want to be above the law then just become a cop

If they can’t be trusted to follow the law, then they can’t be trusted to enforce the law. They should lose their jobs, their guns & rights to hunt for life and be prosecuted to the fullest. What sad people they are. Worthless period.

Poachers need to lose their hunting license for life. They also need to do some jail time. Officers of the law should be held to a higher standard.

If they weren’t law enforcement officers and were regular citizens they would’ve had every single one of their firearms and bows confiscated, including their vehicles, and an insane amount of fines, jail time, and hunting license ban for life. Yet these guys get to continue to wear a badge and carry a gun and determine yours and I’s fate…..

Highly respected cops violate for breaking the law... You can't have it both ways. Cops should know better... They should have their license taken away for hunting. This is standard, why should it be different because they are cops.
