I've been checked by game wardens while hunting/fishing a ton of times...
But in my experience, as long as you aren't breaking the law, you don't have anything to worry about.
They're also some of the best people to talk to regarding where the fish are being caught and what baits are working the best.

Out duck hunting deep in the bayou one year when we ran into the GW. When we asked him if he needed to see our birds he said nope, he already knew what we’d shot…and he was spot on. It was early and we were legal…but it sure did surprise us he was there and knew exactly what we’d taken. I was impressed.

I been fishing a long time only had 1 conversation with a wildlife officer. He was really cool we talked for a good 30 mins about fishing and he even gave me a few tips to try on that body of water.

As much as I love to see wildlife protected, and Wardens are absolutely amazing people, commercial fishing is the real problem we should be facing

I love that you guys are so on the ball there. I fish local in the city and I've never seen a game warden. I bring my license with me every day and do what I can to release every fish healthy and happy.
I kinda wish I ran into them more honestly.

My grandfather retired from 33 years of this in 1996. He's checking fishing licenses in heaven now. Because of him, I got to see alot of wildlife most ppl NEVER get to see in theír life
