I went to charm/equitte school in the 70's and never was taking leftover food that was purchase was mention as classless, of course that was a long time ago, but I'm sure the same rule applies. I'm taking my leftovers home with me.

I’m going to disagree with the doggie bag. Of course any leftover food is coming hone with me. In the US, all restaurants have to go containers. It’s not considered bad manners.

Love the video. These are great tips women could apply in everyday life, especially in this day of cellphones. Using your phone while at dinner or lunch or get togethers is not just mot elegant, it is so RUDE!!

I ask for my TO GO plate in the beginning. I cut the meal in half and automatically put it away so as to intentionally not eat too much (portion control). By the end of dinner, the person doesn't even remember you packed a plate.

I intentionally only eat half of my meal at a restaurant. In the US, the food served is often times enough for two meals. If I went into the meal knowing that I could not leave with half, I would find myself overeating, feeling terrible/ sick, and gaining weight for not wanting to throw away an entire meal. The rest are spot on!

I guess that's the elegance I will never be able to attain because I always keep an empty container or two in my car, just in case....never had to whip them out at a restaurant or hotel but they always come in handy at family gatherings 😂

I don't think I'll ever stop the dogy bag. There are times i want to take my food home, because i had little appetite to finish at the restaurant, and i paid for all of it, now i throw away most of the food. I'm sorry, i just never regretted taking food home. It's the best. This one you'll have to excuse me.
