With the rise of influencers and social media I think it's very easy to find yourself in a deep hole of unnecessary spending.
Too many are getting into debt thinking they have to keep up with a stranger online when you don't even know how they've acquired that item.
I think self control and education is important when it comes to what we say, what we put into our mouth and definitely how we spend our money.

I love preparing my own food. In this economy, not only is it kinder on the purse but I’ve noticed my husband and I eat much better balanced meals at home for half the the price of eating out. We do feel for small restaurant owners who are trying to balance rising costs of produce and keeping customers satiated and happy. So we do occasionally eat out to support them as some of them are also close friends or have become friends. Also time to time, junk food as my guilty pleasures because I can’t say no hot chips ;)

I've worked with women who check all of these boxes:gambling, clubbing every weekend, bragging about sleeping around. One woman always won money but spent it on boy toys. These "live in the moment" behaviors cost these women their health(emotional and physical), they constantly lost friends and men used them😢. I felt so bad for them because most of them were lonely. So sad!

Good morning beautiful ladies. I love this platform. This platform gives a lot of insight on matters which concern women. We must continue to work on ourselves daily. Wisdom is also a character of trait. As a descendant of Maryland the older and original black generation set a good example, but my generation lost something along the way. The junk food really hits me. I remembered staying in Croydon when I first came to london and all the restaurants where chicken fried and other very unhealthy food. Shocking! I had to order online. 😅
