Training a child in darkness from a very young age, where his character is formed can make him a psychopath without feelings.
The Siths sought to put negative feelings above all else, because that is what makes them so strong on the dark side of the force, and the most powerful negative feeling is hatred. If you are a psychopath, you are a madman capable of cruel things, but most of psychos are a little indifferent to hate; just feeling it on a few occasions, like where you lose control of the situation and are humiliated. Psychopaths are horrible, but generally, they seek pleasure in the pain of others.
Being a good man and suffering injustice, seeing the people you love and admire falling in vain or even being betrayed by those people (Anakin felt betrayed by the Jedi order, specifically Obi Wan, in addition to Pádme) can leave a person rather loving and tender like a volcano of hate. In addition, there was that constantly fearof losing Pádme that left Anakin in absolute despair. A lively and passionate young man could feel these feelings more intensely. So, Palpatine wanted anakin to be raised as a good man and then to suffer like a dog: -To become Darth Vader.
Only a good man, who 'fell' could become the most powerful sith.
Palpatine succeeded.

The pure hates, sadness, and anguish that fuels the Dark Side isnt really something a child woulf connect to naturally. Even in an abusive upbringing it would be more likly to develop sociopathic apathy than true hatred.

But, when someone grows up with hopes, dreams, a bright future, and an uplifting support system (family or otherwise) only to have it all snatched away amd shattered in an instant while they're powerless to stop it? THAT'S when the true power of the Dark Side manifests itself.

I think Palpatine waited for Anakin to become disillusioned with the Jedi Council. Letting his anger and emotions intensify and then Palpatine corrupted him

Makes sense. A good example would be Starkiller, he was basically raised in the Sith Ways and not really knew the light side of the Force until it called for him. But an adult, especially a former Jedi, knows both the light and the dark and accepts the path.

Basically, allowing Anakin to be trained by the Jedi Order made his inevitable turn to the dark side and revenge during the purge of Order 66 all the more sweet for Palpatine. Corrupt the Jedi’s shining hope, so that they can only succumb to drowning in hopelessness.

This video really cleverly highlights how flawed the jedi were in completely avoiding attachment by training from babyhood; this means that jedi never overcome attachment (they just avoid it) which could potentially explain why obi wan didnt just finish the job and kill anakin on Mustafar(yes sidious was approaching but obi wan could have just force pushed him into the lava or used the force to pull anakin towards him and kill him with his lightsaber in a matter of seconds, shorter than his little rant at the end). It’s really interesting how much attention to detail legends have.

The darth plagueis book was an amazing piece of work, anyone who hasn't Already read or heard it(as I did) I envy as I feel it was that good and gave such an amazing insight into the galaxy and the sith.
