misa basically has a infinite lifespan because the lifespan of the user of the original deathnote transfers to her so halfing her probably 1000s of year lifespan is no biggie

Misa was my favorite character. I was really sad when she died.

"Knowledge" and "intelligence" are completely different. She's clearly pretty intelligent based on how she out-maneuvered both Light and L simultaneously. She designed and delivered a coded message to Light under L's nose, which successfully conveyed a complex plan to Light, and also tricked Light into revealing himself as Kira. Light and L worked together against Misa and she still beat them while fully accomplishing her goal.

The only reason she was even caught was because Light was being surveilled, and L was already convinced that Kira was most likely Light, so L searched the homes of everyone seen with Light (which happened to include Misa). Light got her caught. She wasn't a suspect, because she initially acted far more cautiously and intelligently with her death note than he did.

She's definitely a lot smarter than she's given credit for. She just doesn't have to rely on her intelligence nearly as much because she's such a skilled social manipulator. She also doesn't have much reason or opportunity to demonstrate her intelligence after beating Light and L, because she accomplished her primary goal already. Although, she is required to perfectly emulate Kira's victim selection without correction from Light, and she does it so well that no one can tell the difference between her and Light (unlike Mikami).

Just because she didn't spend her time studying doesn't change the fact she's clearly intelligent. Being a whimsical romantic in addition to that doesn't change anything. She just has different priorities.
