How to fix Mouse is not working in gta Vice City in windows

Some time in GTA Vice City our Mouse is not working we are going to solve this issue by the simplest way

2) When a window appears, click on the Compatibility tab.
3) In the “Compatibility mode” segment, check the box against Run this program in compatibility mode for:.
4) Click dropdown and select Windows 98 / windows me.
5) Click the Apply button and follow by choosing Ok to save the changes.
6) Reboot the computer and when it powers up again, open the Rockstar Game Launcher.
7) Hope GTA Vice City Mouse not Working is fixed.

It didn't work for me, got another error. But it works now after simply pressing Alt+Tab. Got compatibility mode set to XP Service Pack 3 and enable 640x800 resolution

Doesn’t work for me. It says that the rockstar launcher cannot open it due to compatibility changes. When I run in in vista mode the game actually opens but I have the mouse issue. But when I switch it to the method shown the game doesn’t open. Any help please?

For me is working but its caused by my mouse.
I use logitech wireless mouse with touchpad for a wheel.
When i used normal cable laser mouse it worked normally.
All clicks worked tried my wireless cursor moved but dosent read the clicks.
So it looks like some of wireless mouses have problem with in game movement and clicks.
