It seemed to work, but if you are working with a VDI, be advised that this first solution may impact your VDI mouse wheel from scrolling correctly.

EASIEST FIX: My wireless mouse lag was caused by interference from other wireless devices. To remedy the issue, you only need to plug a 10' extension cable into the computer's USB port (or the USB hub connected to your computer's USB port) and connect the mouse dongle thing into the female end of the extension cable. I got this answer from another video online I can't locate anymore, but it worked. The guy who made that video is a frigging hero.

You are a god sent. I returned the mouse once and had given up. Thanks a million.

This didn't work for me, but the issue seems to be related to usb 2.0 vs 3.0. Plugged my mouse into a 2.0 hub and haven't had any issues. Hope this helps someone.

My stuttering only happens with certain programs, like LibreOffice. If I click the Windows bar, the mouse runs smoothly. But if I activate the window with the app, the mouse immediately starts to stutter, like it's having a hard time. Like in Blender, it's the same thing. But if I move anything, like changing perspective with the middle mouse, it's no issue. Very strange. "UPDATE". I just found out that some times you The issue was resolved by adjusting the G-SYNC settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. G-SYNC was trying to apply to a low FPS program which isn't designed for G-SYNC, causing a drop in the refresh rate and noticeable lag. The solution was to enable G-SYNC for full-screen mode only

I think the first solution worked for me! Seems to be smoother and more responsive so far.

so i tried the methods you suggested and what i found when i opened device manager was the i had 7 mouse drivers so i uninstalled the ones that were not relevant to my current mouse and that fixed the issue for me. Still going to give a like and sub, you were straight to the point with clear instructions keep up the good work.

I just wanted to add in case anyone else was having this problem - When I installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 and graphics drivers, for some unknown reason, windows defaulted my screen refresh rate to 29.98Hz! So the mouse felt really sluggish and I had tried all of these recommendations to no avail. I'm glad I finally noticed the refresh rate was set so low, that fixed it for me.

My problem is a bit more complex. Everything works great unless I leave my laptop on for over 5 or more hours. And only then touchpad lags and stutters when I use it. It is fixable with restart. But then as soon as I leave my laptop on without turning it off or restarting, the problems is back.
I have book3 ultra. And apperently a touchpad on thee book devices are not the most reliable part.
That is my concern-- a defective touchpad that can't be fixed with these tricks.

I appreciate this man! I thought it was caused by some driver issue in Win11. The fix for mines was the "scroll inactive windows when hovering over them" option to disable. Thank you!

Adding one more potential fix. I found that my mouse and keyboard lag disappeared when I disabled (or unplugged) my extra monitors. I have three monitors and right from the start on a fresh install of Win11 even with the 23H2 updates would stutter every 5 seconds (micro freeze). I have read dozens of articles and video's to no avail. Almost ready to move back to Win10 when I saw a Reddit user say they removed 2nd monitor. I don't need multiple right now so I pulled the HDMI from the back of both and POW! My lag was instantly gone. I will revisit after next video upgrade as a 34' Montor is all I need for the moment. Good luck! I spent hours getting to this fix.

Thank you. Been wondering what's been causing this. I wish I knew about this before the most recent dmm tournament for Old School RuneScape. I had just quit the tournament because its like halfway through and I'm just not having fun with it. Ima still do the final hour on the 16th because I've still got stats/gear to participate in that, I just don't see the point in competing for points because its like all clanman-mode and teams, really sucks for solo players. At any rate, this lag has been really making the game hard to paly, both in the tournament and now that I'm back to regular osrs on my ironman account. I wanna make a pking pure to practice pvp in runescape, and now that's goning to be a lot easier now that my mouse doesn't lag.

Like legit, idk why windows would do this to us, making this option default and all. It messes with gaming sooo hardcore, and I've got a special razer mouse and everything because clicking accuracy is really important with runescape, which is what I do with 70% of my life. Its been frustrating playing with this laggy mouse, and then I googled it and your video came up. Thank you sooo much man.
