I have been mucking about with network, cpu and graphics settings for longer than I can remember trying to get rid of the stutter and poor frame rate.
Not sure which tweaks did it but now my game is smooth as can be and this isn't placebo.
You sir are a genius, thank you so much for the tips. Liked and subbed

In my case, it was lagging because in windows the sound-source was set to HTC Vive goggles (it's changing automatically when I start VR but should go back to the default when goggles are turned off). Changing it back to speakers/headset solved the problem - I'm using a Razer Basilisk mouse.

Wowwww.. Thank youu. It worked for me to remove the check mark on the enhance pointer options and set sa speed to between slow and fast 😊 I have also encountered an issue where the mouse wheel won't scroll down on the screen (not the physical roller on mouse itself, it's working fine). It's just that when I scroll the mouse down using the wheel, the cursor on the screen always go back to the top display part of screen and it won't go down. I was able to fix it by the advice of my Uncle to click arrow keys on the laptop itself (if using a laptop, since I was using one, with connected wired keyboard and mouse) "left right left right up down up down" arrow keys a few times, then remove the connected wired keyboard and mouse on the laptop then put them back again. It works! And with the video's additional help for the cursor, thanks a lot!!! 🥰🥰🥰

The polling rate thing was a super huge help! I didn’t realize that my polling rate being at the default 8k on my new mouse was ruining my experience this bad

Wow, who would have guessed that my mouse theme scheme that was set automatically was causing it? Thank you!
